"When you are hungry and thirsty during your skiing day, you have to visit Hendl Fischerei, it is place with lot of wooden things. Nice view from terrace. Very good wines for fair price."

"This is the only watering hole on a long blue ski run down to Viehhoffen. Visited on a weekday lunchtime and the place was busy but we were promptly shown to a table. Everyone there was having a great time singing along to what I can only describe as the Austrian alternative to the birdy song, but this gave a good atmosphere and wasn't intrusive. The place seems very authentic and sheep's wool was showing in the wooden walls, presumably for insulation. We ordered a modest lunch of Gulaschsuppe, which arrived very quickly. It was honestly the best I have ever tasted and was full of very tender beef, not too salty and very satisfying. Also very good value. When we paid, the waitress kindly told us the time of the next ski bus from the bottom of the run, and that we would be just in time to make it approx 15 minutes skiing time away. That was helpful as we do have a tendency to dawdle after lunch but got our skis on as quickly as we could. We were told later that this place is favoured by locals but we were made to feel very at home and would highly recommend a stop here if you are passing,"

"Returned to Krallerhof for the second year running. Lots of the staff from the previous year had left; they seemed to have replaced the younger staff with older staff and super young interns - which is a pity. Rudi is still there running the restaurants. Jana and Michael, the young dynamic front office team offer a warm welcome! Great to see them on arrival. Their English is good - and they are happy to go the extra mile to help you out.Overall, Krallerhof has it all. A good base from which to explore the area. Take the ski lifts up to do some hiking in the summer. Go to the glacier and visit he quaint villages around the area and return to Krallerhof for a wonderful dinner. The food is one of the highlights of our stay at the hotel.Rooms are large and spacious.Staff are friendly and well trained.Do half board.Highly recommend as a place to stay in the summer if you want to explore the surrounding areas."
