"We were looking forward to this dinner but were underwhelmed. The place is weird from the outside and inside as well, with a very peculiar decoration. The dishes were meant to be sophisticated but the chef's efforts were a bit of a hit and miss: some excellent things (foie gras ice cream for instance) but quite a few things were not special or particularly tasty. The service was shambolic. In sum, the value for money is not great."

"Ate here twice and ate well both times. Plat du jour salad nicoise, pork chop, blackcurrants with panacotta. Later the same week salad, fish with pasta followed by a coffee cake. The owner (and chef) is English. He and his waiting staff are attentive without being pushy, and help customers feel at home. Would like to have tried more on the menu, but we were pushed for time. Don't just drive past...it's worth stopping. Parking is off the road, down the side of the restaurant."
