"This is AMAZING!! My husband and I visited Nacogdoches for the first time, and the reviews convinced us that we had to taste El Ranchero. When I saw “two free margaritas” advertised, I thought it was a joke or there were some hooks, but this is for REAL!! And they are real margaritas! (choices between mango, lime or strawberry. My husband said his burrito was “the best he ever eaten” and my soft beef Tacos were amazing.. One of the best I have eaten! Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Nacogdoches!"

"I have been looking forward to trying this place for months…maybe my expectations were too high. We ordered a Basil Pesto Grilled Cheese it was cold and the cheese was solid, the salad that accompanied the meal was fine but the dressing tasted like the package dressing from Kroger. The second item that we ordered was the BST, there was nothing in it, a few pieces of spinach and pre cooked bacon. The accompanying soup was all grease, seeming as if the sausage was cooked in the soup which made it undercooked and under seasoned and not drained first it was all I could taste. The kale in the soup was also over cooked.The French press was NOT a French press, it was a weak drip coffee poured in a carafe. This was a VERY disappointing experience."

"Was not impressed with the food or service on Saturday. Asked for a certain wine only for the server to come back and not have it which is fine. Then when we asked her about what wines they have for her to leave the table again to get the wine list. She came to our table 3 times and on the third time we finally got a wine list. Also the burgers were disgusting. Definitely tasted frozen. We’re not hot. As we are leaving the restaurant we heard a couple give their salad back because of something in her food. This place is too hyped up for what it actually is. Unless it was just a bad day. I have good food there before. Either way never ordering the burger again."

"My husband and I showed up at Cottage Wine Bar, without a reservation on Friday at 6:50pm. We were seated indoors quickly; the pretty, outdoor patio was full. The restaurant was clean and was packed. We were seated at the last non-reserved table for two. The noise level was high but inviting. The restroom was clean and stocked. Our waiter described the special in detail. We ordered a cosmopolitan and a whiskey sour to start. Both were delicious and balanced but not as sweet as those typically served at most East Texas bars. I really enjoyed the whiskey sour! To start, we ordered a charcuterie board and a tomato bisque/house salad/grilled cheese sandwich. Both were spectacular! Recommended! (We did get sour merlot cheese, but it was replaced quickly. The balsamic vinaigrette, on my salad, was sweet, thick and perfect. I will return for the soup, salad, and sandwich. It would be a perfect lunch! Two gnats buzzed our table, throughout our appetizers. The gnats were annoying but generally expected during our rainy, hot East Texas spring. Our filtered water was refilled promptly, and it tasted appealingly refreshing. I ordered a medium rare filet mignon, asparagus and potatoes as my entree. My husband ordered medium filet mignon alfredo, as his entree. Both steaks were utterly perfect. Recommended! We wanted the bananas foster for desert. It looked amazing! However, we were so stuffed that we brought home three to-go boxes. Next visit: bananas foster! Prices are appropriate for the quality of the food and service. Note: Check out the menu online, before you visit, if you are worried about prices (as several other reviewers seemed to neglect to do in advance and then took their assumptions about pricing out on the restaurant in their reviews . I wholeheartedly recommend The Cottage Wine Bar for a date night in Nacogdoches! It's a much-needed addition to the Nacogdoches dining scene!"

"Newk?s is located on North St. with more than necessary parking. Besides fresh, tasty, and favorable food the restaurant is very clean. The staff without exception is helpful and friendly. Social distancing is maintain in the seating. During this visit it was observed that the customers are wearing masks. The Chicken and Bacon sandwich prepared on very enjoyable bread that is so similar to French Bread was most delicious. Ingredients used are definitely fresh. Decent size that was served with a small pasta salad. Lunch partner had a large very and nice salad. Drinks are obtained by the customer and at the present time refills are not allowed. The cups used for the drinks are a nice size however. The experience today along with enjoyable food makes this place one to enjoy for a decent meal in a very clean environment."
