El Ranchero - Nacogdoches

I lived in Nac for 15 years before I realized how good this place is. I used to care, I think it's really better. Salsa is the hands below the best in town and their streets tacos are my favorite. We eat there at least once a week, sometimes more, and never had anything less than stellar service. The employees who keep the chips and salsa coming will kill them at their job, between that and my lack of self-control, I am so full when the participants arrive, I take half or more home for another meal.

Always amazing! Tested chickens Enchiladas w sour cream and they were great! I've never tried her before. Of course, chips and salsa were fantastic. Service is always excellent here. My adult children still call it mexican.

The portion sizes are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the food tastes delicious. Plus, they even give you a complimentary margarita with your entree. We had the taco dinner, beef enchiladas, and tortilla soup.

This is AMAZING!! My husband and I visited Nacogdoches for the first time, and the reviews convinced us that we had to taste El Ranchero. When I saw “two free margaritas” advertised, I thought it was a joke or there were some hooks, but this is for REAL!! And they are real margaritas! (choices between mango, lime or strawberry. My husband said his burrito was “the best he ever eaten” and my soft beef Tacos were amazing.. One of the best I have eaten! Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Nacogdoches!

I typically choose this appetizer as my main course. It has never disappointed me. It is number 7 on the menu - Camaron Brocheta. Four Jumbo Shrimps and Jalapeño filled with Monterrey cheese wrapped in bacon, served with rice, guacamole, and Chile con queso. It is consistently delicious!
