"We ate breakfast here. It was delicious & we are from NY. The bagels are freshly made and they offer a nice plate to eat it on. They provide a smooth spreader to apply the cream cheese. This is the best bagel place in Montreal that we tried."

"This is a place for people who like pasta....a lot of pasta a lot.Choice is overwhelming. Plates copious, enough to share.Drinks well done....One big issue....very, very loud.....you will have to scream to be heard on your own table.I am not sure this can be improved.Decent wine list.....full price range and regions/varietals for every pairing on their menu. Pastas can be over-cooked, you should specify how you like yours."

"Usually very happy to come to this place, service and music always good but i had a terrible experience last night. i was standing around the bar waiting for my friends to finish paying with my mask down. the only waitress they have there came up to me without asking me to put my mask up, pulled my mask up herself dragging her dirty bar fingers along my face and touching the inside of my mask. Im not usually one to complain about covid protocol or anything but i felt very uncomfortable in this situation. i hope she doesnt expect any tips from me in the future"

"We had gone to L'Academie on Boul. St Jean a few years ago and had found the food to be extremely underwhelming. Jump ahead a few years: My sister's surprise party was held there on June 2nd. The food was outstanding, and the service was great. Paul was really looking forward to going back. We returned tonight on one of our rare dates. The food was exactly as bad as our first meal there. My veal didn't taste fresh, the side vegetables were doused in some salty spices and the pasta was DRY. Seriously. It was supposed to be pasta aglio e olio, except they were just dry lol. Someone forgot something. My husband ordered the same dish he had ordered last week: veal tortellini with rosé sauce, but it didn't taste the same at all. It tasted like frozen noodles...Let's be honest. I can understand the food being a miss. No big deal I suppose. It happens. However how it's dealt with makes all the difference in the world. I told the waiter the quality wasn't even close to what it had been for my sister's party and that it was unfortunate, especially after it had been so great last week! He replied that he'd speak to the manager. The waiter came back a while later and said, "I spoke to the manager. There's not much we can do. I guess we'll keep an eye on it. But that's about it". I just said, "ok". But what I was really thinking was, " seriously?!". I'm FLOORED. "Service was extremely slow. My salad had brown slimy bits in it, for the price, I think someone should've checked the quality of the lettuce. We had to ask for tea and coffee, they didn't seem to notice we were waiting for a long time. They mixed up the prices on the bills. The other ladies enjoyed their lunches, but complained about the long waiting time."

"Albeit a bit pricey, the food here was very good! We had the veal, Tuna, and Salmon entres, and enjoyed them. The atmosphere was excellent, and service was very good. Staff was very knowledgeable and was able to make suggestions."
