"Owner is very unfriendly, keeps shouting at his employees in front of guest. I don't know how they can keep up with him. Every other sentence he says is "I'm the owner" but he doesn't do any work. If you go to the bathroom you have to walk through the back area of the kitchen which is a big mess."

"LOCATION: Perfect location in the middle of pittoresque Stein am Rhein's old town. They have outside seating which is great!SERVICE: Very warm and welcoming! DRINKS: I had an excellent chai latte. My family ordered cappuccino, milk coffee, lemonade and hot chocolate: all were very happy with their choice :-) FOOD: The menu looks amazing: quiche with salad and other delicious meals. Unfortunately, we were only there fir coffee, but next time I'll est something! RESTAURANT: Beautifully decorated, with lots of love"

"If you like your food swimming in oil and extremely bad waiter service. This restaurant is not cheap and to be here on family visit to show them the sights and supposedly quality of food for Switzerland it's embarrassing and shocking. The service from our waitress with the bob hair was not good she is rude and incompetent. Not good service or food and I do not recommend at all!!!"

"We returned to the restaurant after 2 years to enjoy the delicious pike prepared here, unfortunately we were told that for 2 people cannot offer pike, from 5 people up ... we chose another fresh fish from Rhine and after a few minutes the waitress...brought something other than what we ordered, put the plates and disappeared quickly without having time to tell her that it was not what we ordered. When she came back, we told that she had brought us something different that we had asked for, she took the plates and left without any comment. The correct order was brought to us by someone else, it was a fish from the Rhine, fresh and tasty. It's a shame that in a restaurant with good food and tradition it's a rude waitress and without the desire to be a good host."

"Restaurant is both inside and outside. The outside is on two sides, one in full public view, the other a small and quiet alcove of a few tables approached from the street leading away from the river. It does not have a front onto the...river which is an advantage as all the river restaurants were very crowded and I suspect the service would have been slower. here the service was prompt, and friendly . Staff speak english. Food was simple and served quite quickly. There did not appear to be any desserts other than ice creams. The menu included some indian dishes."
