"As a dweller of dinkelsbühl, the pizzeria piccola is charming inside and outside and is located in a quiet side street of Martin-Luther-Straße. one time when my family and I ate there, it was very good to eat. Unfortunately, the man to whom the restaurant belongs/manages is incredibly rude and disrespectful. at our recent second visit he did not greet us outside while enjoying his zigarette. we were the only guests waiting for a table. he asked us to give him our drink order, and we told him we would consider ordering a bruschetta after we had received our drinks. another waiter brought our drinks and did not ask us about our order. we had decided not to order dinner there because of the strange and rude behavior. suddenly the waiter gave a side-salat and bruschetta. we told him politely that this was not our order. when he returned to the kitchen, the owner / manager cried so loud that one could hear him on the front ess terrace. he marched out of the door to our table and insisted that we ordered the bruschetta. we said politely that we hadn't ordered it, so he marched in again. at this time I could not resist confronting him inside, where his personal was embarrassed because of his actions. I told him that we were not visitors of dinkelsbühl and residents and could not understand why he treated us so rudely. he insisted we ordered the bruschetta. we quickly paid the bill and went to never come back!"

"Its about 20 years since we last had supper in this fine old German Gasthoff. The menu is very well thought out and local game features well. Service was excellent and the staff put up with our bad German! Unusually for us four we all...chose the same main item and all enjoyed our schnitzels. Two good quality tender pork schnitzels cooked to perfection for each of us. Good sides, good local beers and wine and coffees to boot. 20 Euros a head. Hope its not another 20 years before we return to Dinklesbuhl but when we do it will be the Golden Anker for us."

"Two years behind, we drove to the summer breeze festival to Germany and both of them we stayed in the hotel goldene krone - our trip to golden krone. the owner of this poor house, herr mannfred janka, dept as a cheerful character, we contacted him by email and asked him to book us the most modern room with all the amenities. the onkel did not require any advance payment, at the end everything went well, we fit without noise and dust, for which we put a bottle of Mariinsky-Wodka to the owner. the hotel is very quiet and cozy, hanging on the walls paintings and household objects of the good old Bavarians. we have breakfast here and were very satisfied: like a traditional buffet, cut cheese and ham, cereal, yogurts, vegetable fruit, egg milk coffee tea, but everything is served with soul. tee was kindly served by the hotel owner personally to the table, apparently as a reaction to our 40-degree ride))) in the evening they can take a very cultural dinner here, but if they want to have a little more fun, then in the next house there is a kind of home pub, where restless pensioners gather, poison and agree on any thoughtful way with guests everywhere. in general the bayern, people whose charm falls on everything that is surrounded in dinkelsbühl, so they are boldly going forward!"

"Had a very nice lunch outside of this hotel yesterday so decided to book a table for dinner on following night. We are a mixed group of 11 walking the Romantic Road hence our stay in Dinkelsbühl. We agreed a table in the dining room...but when we arrived for dinner we were shown to a table in a rather dark bar which we took. The service was a little haphazard but overall we couldn’t really complain about the food. Our waiter was a hoot, we weren’t sure if he was inebriated or if this was his usual demeanor. When it came to ordering desserts there was great confusion and he proceeded to ply us with brandy liquor, while also helping himself. Mops and sweeping brushes were produced at intervals and we had a good laugh. I would say if you are going to eat here be sure to get a table in the dining rooms just inside the door and don’t be too fussy about the service. Overall tho the food was good."
