"After a 7 km long hike in the hills around Gerolstein, sitting on the terrace of the Bistro was a pleasant surprise! The crepes were silky smooth and the waffles were the best I ever had. In addition, the staff was really friendly and correct in...this attempt (Covid) times. Great place for lunch."

"Wir waren bei Mama Maria sehr zufrieden. Die Tomaten suppe meines Freundes war zwar sehr dezent gewürzt aber sehr frisch und schmackhaft. Sein Salat war auch spitze. Alles Frisch und abwechslungsreich und vor allem eine große Portion. Ich hatte ein Pizzabrot und Tortelloni in eine Käsepilzsauce die waren beide sehr lecker. Die Sauce war sehr cremig und hat sehr satt gemacht. Das war sicher nicht der letzte Besuch bei Mama Maria.... wir kommen wieder da hier auch die Preise fair und der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam ist."

"Day trip in the volcanic Eifel. At noon we stopped in Gerolstein and strolled through the city. It should be a little, but no frit ready food. Nothing jumped our eyes. Finally, the bistro “In Flecken” at the Rondell shopping mall made the race. Outside beautiful seating, but it was pretty cool. We saw in. A lot of things didn't happen in the late evening, but the tables are not yet cleared by the previous guests. We have room outside. Friendly, the sun decided to have sun rays and there was no shower. Service: A young employee welcomed us friendly and handwritten menus and drinks. Usually handwriting, but rather unusual nowadays. Nevertheless, a balanced mixture is given here. Our food came after a pleasant waiting period for freshly prepared dishes. Unfortunately, a meal had to go back. The staff was enthusiastic (of course not, but a completely fresh meal was prepared without any conditions. It is known that you can also win customers through good complaint processing. Attention, kindness, waiting times for drinks and food – all right. The decision of the dressing for the additional salad was not asked, but decided by the kitchen. Food and drink: The bistro also offers various treats such as vinegar, oils and spices. This is pointed out in the menu and you can use for example in-house dressings for salads. We chose: Dry Rieslingschorle (BIO Riesling after the map). 0.2 l, as I see in writing, were with “Riesling dry” on € 4.10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry, but this will be reflected in the price-performance ratio. Very expensive mineral water. And the 1 food went back, I'm not sorry anymore. My husband decided to eat: Potato sock with fresh mushrooms at € 7.90 and an additional salad at € 3.50. The salad was served in advance as desired. Beautiful fresh ingredients (iceberg salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, red and yellow peppers, spring onions and radii. Good! Potato ransom was served. 1 freshly sprinkled fryers of not too lush size. Beautiful fried mushrooms. And the scent: bacon! There are bacon lovers and their hats! We both belong to the 2nd category, so that the exchange of food also fails. Undesired and unnoticed addition to the roast: roasted hammock. Inconvenient (because we prefer to eat food instead of letting my husband go back to court. But if he had done that, he would have eaten it with reluctance. I had time with my already served Mediterranean peasant salad at € 7.90. I had chosen the hearty dressing with tomatoes balm vinegar and tomato oil. It couldn't get cold here. Fresh ingredients: iceberg salad, tomatoes, peppers, abundant green and black olives, tuna, little crushed feta cheese, feta cheese. Compared to apricot dressing, the hearty dressing was little hearty. There are 4 small pieces of Baguette. On request I received another 4 smaller baguettes (without calculation). My husband's roasting court has been reserved in the meantime. The freshly roasted roast nicely baked. Champignons roasted, well seasoned and refined with fresh spring onions. Nicely dressed, scattered with Bruschetta spices, but nevertheless as part alone quite little. Ambience and cleanliness: modern and well maintained inside... except the unclear tables. Beautiful outdoor seats with comfortable seats without decoration and deck. Toilets were not visited. Conclusion: 3 – when it comes back! (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – when it returns, 4 – again happy, 5 – definitely back on kitchen trip ."
