"Haven’t had BK in years, no specific reason just didn’t crave it, this location had some controversy with an infestation a couple years back and since then I’ve noticed not a lot of people go by there anymore, literally empty every time I see the parking lot and I pass it on a daily basis since I live in the area and it’s on my way home. That being said today I decided to give them a shot at redemption since I was for some reason craving some, you cannot understand the level of regret I have. We went wanting chicken fries and apparently they were out, no biggie they were nice enough to sub for nuggets. Ordering went well, no issues. Food came out exactly how we ordered, it was warm, I’ll give them that, however the bread was stale, the bacon was rubbery as if it had been sitting for a while, the fries were stale as well and had a nasty aftertaste and the nuggets were either old or extremely overcooked because the outside of them was hard to bite into. In simpler terms, my food was most likely old and they just heated it up or kept it in the warming lights. The fact that I know that it is always empty would make me think they’d want to provide quality product when someone does come by to bring them back, I was wrong. I’m aware that most fast food places pre-make their food beforehand to provide fast service but this BK doesn’t get a lot of service as is, how long are those burgers and fries and nuggets sitting there before someone comes and orders it. I don't know if I’ll order BK anytime soon BUT I know that I’ll never choose this location again.TL;DR: Food was stale and old, never visiting again."

"Great place for a turnkey lunch. the decor is a little kitchy, but tasteful, the mood they get when going into the house of their grandmother. very warm and welcoming. every time I'm here, I had good service and never had a long wait. the soups offered by them vary depending on the day. their portobello mushroom soup is for to die! they offer a lot of sandwiches, wraps, suppen and salads, oh and don't forget to try some of their dessert!"

"I ordered a shrimp plate from this restaurant over the phone and they told me it comes with rice. After pick up and driving home, it did not have any rice. I was told it’s “very rare” that they don’t add the sides and waited for 5 minutes so they could ask the cooks if they remember putting rice on my plate. Instead of being offered a refund or compensation I had to prove the cook didn’t complete my order. I was then told I can go all the way back from north Harlingen to San Benito to pick up the rice. A few months ago, oyster bar messed up my ordered and offered me another plate. The waitresses here didn’t care and were happy to argue the issue. I have never made a review before but the lack of customer service warranted it."

"Sign needs to be bigger. Sign says buffet but that's only on Thursday and Friday. Staff was good, but need to check up on clients more other than when leaving food or taking order. Food was average, salsa was real good."

"Never been a pizza place that has no marinara sauce, like what? Asked for Sauce for my pasta and was told they don't have one. There were no pizzas out, the buffet line was empty with the only option that pepperoni or cheese. Pizza was tasteless. Salad bar had no cucumbers. I loved this place, but no is coming back."

"We visited last Thursday evening to have a late dinner. The hostess was quick to assist and get us seated. Our server seemed a little lost or sidetracked. She was kind but she brought back the wrong drink and also the wrong burger. My son asked for the Smokehouse Burger and she brought back the All American Burger. She realized it as she was placing it on our table and then asked if she should bring the mushrooms, onions, and bbq sauce. she brought back the items, but it's still not the same as the Smokehouse Burger has both American cheese and jack cheeses. My son put his burger together...and we were still charged the Smokehouse Burger. ??Our fried pickles were soggy and we've had better, crispier pickles at this same roadhouse. Obviously the appetizer being undercooked isn't the servers fault. We enjoyed our evening, but it wasn't top notch."

"I ordered a sopa de mariscos ,I got a soup made of catfish stomach area the one that has the gray lining.it taste like mud.Oysters weren't that fresh either.I would go back to try something else. I've heard great thing about them. Service was excellent."
