"First stage on the Emsradweg, we wanted to be in Warendorf in the evening. In Rheda-Wiedenbrück we found nothing at noon, which could lead us to a return. The next place was Marienfeld on the signs. The name rings with football fans, the Portuguese national team was there during the 2006 World Cup. Maybe there was a matching lunch? So we drove a few kilometers further to Marienfeld. Our no longer very active Peter3 has already extensively described the system in his criticism, so I refer to his criticism last year. The plant is really big! You have to be guided for the first time. Hotel, Sporthotel, Restaurant, Klosterkeller and Café... there is also a monastery shop and event rooms. Right next to the big arch, which grants admission to the Klosterhof, just a building site for a new hotel photo. There also the entrance to the main restaurant Klosterstübchen. This was open and a view of the map promises challenging cuisine. Madame went in and asked if we could get a table. That was possible and so we closed our wheels and went to the guest room together. This is very rustic and historical. Even though this was a little too much dark wood, tables and furnishings could enjoy the highest demands. Well covered tables, fabric napkins, high-quality dishes and glasses. I was looking forward to the coming. We had enough cards and we ordered a Pils for both of us as an aperitif. When studying the maps, the kitchen served bread, butter and herbal cucumber. The card is sophisticated and this also reflects the prices. Hardly a main court under EUR 20. The connoisseur, however, is happy to read the dishes offered. A sophisticated wine card is also presented to the guest. We were infused and my wife chose as an appetizer two kinds of smoked salmon trout · radish · marinated green beans · citrus crème Fraîche · spicecroûtons Immediately with this dish there were doubts as to whether we had made the right choice. Overall, the plate had the size of a kitchen green, a little smoked salmon trout in slices, a homeopathic portion of a Tatar from the salmon trout (who finds it on the photo), no radishes, for tomatoes, the cream Fraiche was there, okay. The kitchen called EUR 12.50 for this dish. I advised my wife not to accept the court and leave it back, but she refused and ate everything. The components in themselves were good, but if you deviate from the plan it must be made known, and the portioning was a nausea. Bad! The exact opposite then my appetizer. I had opted for a carrot ginger curry chocolate soup, served in a soup cup sealed with a wake-glass lid at the table. Upstairs a little amuse gueule, then I opened the lid. And to me a bewitching scent struck! What the cook had prepared from a very good, not too sharp curry, carrots, ginger and coconut milk was simply great! What should that be? A demonstration of the span (Un)Quality of the kitchen? Bad and super in a gang at a table. The restaurant could be glad that I had ordered the soup, because if I had got my wife's gang, it wouldn't have stayed so quiet. I was torn and feared bad for the main course. At this, my wife had decided to have a vegetarian dish, homemade sage gnocchi · roasted green asparagus · paprikage mice · Peccorino foam Here was at least once all announced on the plate, with the task of Rucola above. I tested the gnocchi, which presented itself well, the foam was delicious. The other ingredients were praised by Madame. Thus increase of 100% for my wife from start to main dish. A classic for me came to the table Viennese schnitzel with lemon and anchovy · berries · side-lay salad · roast potatoes or potato curling salad And also on this classic, I had ordered the potato curling salad as a supplement, there was nothing to put out. A Riesling Kabinett dry in 2015 from the Rheingau from the winery Trenz in Johannesberg accompanied us by the meal. Good Rheingau Riesling! We dispensed with a dessert, a double espresso woke the spirits of life for the rest of the route to Warendorf. The service worked well in general, all of them were from the specialist. Conclusion: I am in uncleanness with me. 3 of 4 courts were good, a court was a total riot. Not because a component would have been bad, but because it was not served as announced and because the components were not sufficiently present. More and more I believe that the ingredients for this dish had gone out and were somehow improvised. But then it should be clearly stated and either by means of a replacement or a discount of the price. You didn't say that, you just didn't say anything. As I said, my wife had failed to protest in her name, although she was in my opinion, she did not want to spread a bad mood. But this gives deductions here, it goes down from 4 to 3 points when eating. Conditional recommendation for the restaurant Klosterstübchen in the Hotel Klosterpforte. Maybe we'll come back again that entire hotel has enjoyed us very well, on a wellness weekend, and I'll make the rehearsal on whether the kitchen can maintain its high standards."

"Hello, We were drinking for coffee now and eating cakes with you. Our daughter wanted to eat something. Like last time, we wanted to have gluten-free preparation of potato buffer.
