"They have a fairly backward space in Trinoma so large groups are recommended to sit outside if they want to sit as a group. It took a while for our order to arrive. The wings were good and they now have fairly large servings compared to before. The rice was a little oily, but also good."

"I ate here with the BF today. We both had the Unicorn Strawberry Shake and Chicken Katsu Omurice and the Shrimp Maki with tempura pieces.
For starters, I love the design and ambience of the place. It's all super cute like in !!!! The staff are also very attentive.
The sushi was very good! Tastes like it is expensive - around 30-35 per roll. I love the taste of crispy tempura on every roll.
The unicorn shake gave us both a sugar boost. Refreshing to some extent, but mostly too sweet. I wish there was more of the advertised tartness of the strawberries in it. The first time to eat something with shiny gold / silver balls and it was a lot of fun I think. And super Instagram-capable.
Finally the Omurice.
According to my friend, the ideal omurice should have an egg that is still runny enough to coat the rice. The omelette was nice but not runny. But the rice was good - tomato sauce, mushrooms, and peppers made it very filling! Reis pa Lang, ulam na! The taste of the chicken came mainly from the breading and cream sauce it was in. Not bad and super filling, but could be better.
This place is well worth the price in terms of portions and richness. Taste for the sushi. But it's quite a talaga."

"Hype about Halal Guys?

I know a lot of people have decided that THG is too expensive to serve and that they don't think it is good value for money. But I'm the prototype of a lion - very faithful to what I like and honest about a mistake. I only like THG. I like the way it tastes. I like it when I see them prepare the food. I like their sauce. I've been coming back since they opened and I'm still enjoying it. I'm not influenced by the brand or US origin. I just like what I like and I honestly don't care if you agree with me or not. I don't even care if it's not popular opinion; it's mine and i stand by my taste buds! ???? (I don't care if you read my reviews or not; thank you if you do!)

That being said, I felt like they were nibbling on my white sauce that day. I just got my usual order of chicken gyro platter and I was missing the sauce. Hmph. Not eaten cool. I don't know it's just my imagination, but I really felt it was. "Uncle Cheffy's food is surprisingly good. I once thought this was just one of those restaurants that try too hard to be Italian. It was not. In fact, it had different flavors and offerings that I only tried for the first time here.

For our dinner on Friday evening, we ordered roasted prawns and grapefruit salad, steak and pasta, and panizza.

The roasted shrimp and grapefruit salad started our meal perfectly. It had the right smokiness combined with the freshness of the raw materials. The slightly sweet and sour grapefruit pieces were balanced with the slightly salty dressing.

The steak and pasta is another winner. It will surely satisfy any meat lover's taste buds. Three thick pieces of round steaks sit on penne pasta with red sauce. The steak can be cooked according to your own specifications - moderately rarely to well done. We did ours well, but I would have wanted it to be medium well. It was also tender and lightly flavored although I wish it was ... read more "

"The Old Spaghetti House had a month-long Pasta All You Can Anniversary Special last September. For just 149php, you can have unlimited servings of pasta (choose from Vietnamese Garlic, Pesto, Pomodoro, Arabiatta, Bacon Alfredo and Aglio Olio) . For an additional 50php, you can also avail the Unlimited Pizza promo. This was just too good a deal so we didn't pass the chance and went here for dinner.

The place was already full when we got there but luckily, there was one empty table outside. The server asked if we want to sit there and we said we didn't mind. I wasn't supposed to avail the unli pizza but then I saw the pizza spread and I changed my mind.

Don't expect too much from the pasta - honestly, it was just noodles with pasta sauce. If there were any toppings, they were very limited. But for the price, I wouldn't complain at all. I personally liked the Bacon Alfredo pasta. Creamy without being too heavy. The pizzas were also great. I can't remember how many slices of Cheese Pizza I've eaten that night.

In fairness, they keep on replenishing the pasta and pizza spread. There's little waiting time whenever they ran out of pizza and pasta. Servers were also attentive. They keep on refilling our drinks even if we didn't call them."

"Loved their chicharon and HALO HALO! Man, Razon has some serious competition. This place won my husband over. He is now loyal to Tita Teresita. I, on the other hand, need to visit a few more times to be fully converted. But no complaints whatsoever for our first visit! :)

Plus, the staff were so friendly and sweet. That alone will make me want to try the entire menu."

"Tendon Akimitsu is housed inside Ramen Nagi in Trinoma. It's similar to their NAIA 3 branch. It was named after Chef Akimitsu who conceptualized and made this brand in Tokyo, now in Manila.

Having the opportunity to try good tendons both in Manila and Japan, it's an easy review. Although tendons in Japan tend to have their own version for each restaurant. It doesn't have a standard, but its based on how the chef want it.

The Nami Don was abit bland. It was tempura of mixed seafood like scallops, shrimps, and squid battered and fried. The brushed sauce was salty. Not every piece was coated thus became part salty and bland. The crunch was the usual tempura, but didn't hold the texture even after the coating.

The ebi tempura set consists of prawns, okra, sweet potato, and eggplant. It has the same batter as the tendon bowl, but differ in sauce. For this, the sauce was served separately like any other tempura. I find the sauce on the salty side, not our usual tempura sauce that is sweet, savory salty.

The only highlight for me is the Salmon Auburi. Its basically a maki with vegetables topped with salmon fillets that is torched then slathered with teriyaki sauce and cheese-mayo sauce. It's just an explosion of flavors in my mouth. It's creamy, savory, cheesy maki. It's just as good as it gets.

Unfortunately, most of what we had is on the salty side. It doesn't fit on how I prefer it.

#TheFoodCrawlers #SplatMNL #OngsFoodprints"

"The food I had here (chicken teriyaki) was ok. The plain rice was cold - it is better to switch to Japanese fried rice so that it cooks immediately. If you order your meal with chilli, it is really full of chillies and very hot."
