"Her place in SM Aura was unique from the others. It was the first thing that made me eat there. The price was affordable. I got the Chicken Rice Bowl, the free miso soup. The miso soup was just right, not too salty or whatever. The sauce was delicious but not evenly spread. The chicken was well done but it took the sauce to have that flavor but due to the unevenly spread sauce, most of the sauce only covered the rice portion as the chicken. The drinks are a bit overloaded and the size of the food was too small to feel satisfactorily full."

"A place serving breakfast that opens at 11am in the morning!?

FOOD 3.5
Breakfast items include a cup of complimentary coffee from (11 am to 2 pm) which was average at best, but gives breakfast entrées a much butter value than without it. The all star beef tapa (275 PHP) crispy homemade beef tapa that's interestingly delicious, a different take on otherwise ordinary tapa. The Pork Tocino Riot (195 PHP) is a good value meal with decent taste and texture. The Crunchy Crispy Pork Belly (255 PHP) might not be appetising for healthy eaters, but for some us who are still growing it's alright for now. All breakfast entrees comes with 2 eggs that are done just right and plain rice. All prices are inclusive so no worries.

SERVICE 4.0
They make sure everything is in order and by the look of the restaurant it's well maintained.

AMBIANCE 4.0
Comfy padded chairs and a cozy interior that makes for a relaxing environment, the way I like have to have my mornings. In the evening or late afternoons it gears itself towards being a sports bar rather a place to eat.

eater.ph"

"I am partial to sizzlers because they mean a warm meal. However, I refrain from ordering them because the aroma could stick to clothes.

Sizzling Plate at SM Aura offers many items in their menu, including rice meals, omelettes and desserts. Orders and payments are taken first and customers are asked to wait while their orders are being prepared in the kitchen. The servers wait until the initial sizzle dies down before serving the dish to the customer so there is less chance of getting burned or for the smell to stick to clothes.

On my two visits, I ordered the same thing, Pork Steak Meal which came with pork steak drenched in gravy, buttered vegetables and rice. While I was impressed the first time, I thought that the meat was not as tender the next time. I wondered if that was because the mall was having a 3-day sale and the restaurant was busy.

But I'll probably be back as I want to try the other items on the menu. The restaurant just has to work on its consistency."

"I thought chilled taho was Dell's novel idea until I went to the Sinangag Express store when I got discouraged by the lunch line at Dell and all I wanted was an ice cold drink. I thought I was looking at some kind of almond pudding with tapioca when I saw the plastic cups stacked next to soda cans. Of course, when I found out it was chilled, I had to try.

First of all, assembly was required as the sugar syrup came in a separate package like you would get for soy sauce at a Siomai booth. As I carefully pierced the package, I prayed that I wouldn't wear syrup on my blouse for the rest of the day.

Second, it was boring.

Third, the soy was more jelly and less slurp.

Fourth, the tapioca were small, but Dell's chilled taho didn't have chewy sago either, so that's a tie.

Bottom line: well I think you will never know until you try.

***

For lack of anything other than another order of Seafood Bagoong from RBX, I recently tried SE's Bangusilog ... read more "

"My mom went home one day with some of Zao's barbecue dishes - which we all enjoyed. So on another day when my mom wanted to eat at Zao again, we obliged.

Having already tasted their barbecue dishes, we wanted to try something new. We had Crab Cakes for appetizer, Zao Pho for my brother, Zao Bowl for me, and Seafood in Claypot for my mom. The Crab Cakes tasted good but what made it stand out for me was the cilantro mayonnaise. It was so good I used it as a dip for the spring rolls that came with my Zao Bowl. Speaking of the Zao Bowl, it was filling but not so fulfilling. I only enjoyed the toppings but not so much the cold vermicelli noodles. As far as I can remember, my brother enjoyed his Zao Pho very much but only after adding (almost) all of the condiments that came with it. I was also able to try the Seafood in Claypot and I liked the chewy texture of the squid as well as the sauced up rice.

The star of that night's dinner would have to be their Tamarind Iced Tea. It tasted like the Moniegold chewy tamarind candy which is our family's favorite. I forgot how many refills we had but my brother and I had A LOT.

As much as some of their food tasted good, those that I enjoyed weren't exactly Vietnamese dishes. So after eating at Zao, I came to the realization that I am not a fan of Vietnamese food, unfortunately. I'd still like to give their Calamansi Tart a try, though."

"Lots of ramen!

Product: We had all types of ramen (Shoyu, Shio and Miso). I specifically had the miso ramen. Shoyu is soy sauce, shio is salt, and miso is soybeans (I think there was bean paste on the menu? Not sure). Anyway, the serving of the product is so large that it is probably enough for 3 people with my appetite, but if you are one of those people who wants to get the amount of what you paid for, this is the place to go. The noodles were really heavy and with that amount of portion? You'd get full easily. For me, the bean sprout flavor stood out more than the other ingredients. I'm not a huge fan of this, but it wasn't bad! It's just not for me. I didn't particularly like that we only use disposable chopsticks. I think that takes away some of the essence of the place, but it's also good because it's more hygienic that way. I just prefer a more authentic feeling, do you get me? The chicken karaage is also becoming one of my favorite dishes. It goes with everything!

Venue: You ... read more "

"Visit Shrimp Shack partners with Old Spaghetti House, so to my hunger for a moment :) Your menus are combined and you can order whatever you want to eat in one seat.

Shrimp Heads for starters and we ordered the pasta from Old Spaghetti House, the all-time popular white carbonara sauce. They have these on their menu which is only P150. Your choice of meat combined with each choice of your pasta. I chose Alfredo for my pasta and Golden Custard Fish Fillet for my meat.

I was also able to try my new favorite pasta, SHRIMP SCAMPI ALFREDO. You should try it too. The best!"

"Me and my wifey arrive here at around 8:30 - 9:00pm, they are pretty much open of course. It was a dinner for us. The presentation was good, the ambiance is good, a bit pricey, but still worth it. What I don't like a bit is the service. Sorry guys, it really is a factor for me. Well they are courteous though. But some of the time their actions seems discriminating, and when we are asking for refills, it takes time to return. Well I understand that maybe they are tired or someting, but still I think it matter for those who dines."
