"I went in for breakfast after a hunt in Rocksprings. We were greeted at the door very nicely. Sat down and placed our breakfast taco order. Took 40 minutes for the tacos to get to our table. The wonderful waitress gave us a free iced tea for the wait without us mentioning anything. Food was delicious. Service was great. I definitely will go back again. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff."

"The tortillas are chewy and tough, whoever made them made them terribly. the beans were watery and had absolutely no salt. they got my order wrong, I had asked for no onion and they gave me a pile of onions, I asked for cheese on the beans and they put cheese on everything but the beans. the enchiladas sucked, you could barely eat them because you couldn’t cut them. the rice, guacamole, and asada meat were pretty good, I really enjoyed the rice. the tea+lemonade was really good. the lime also barely had any juice, it isn’t lime season though so I don’t entirely fault them for that. the service was incredible slow and the meal is way to over priced for the quality and quantity. over all it kinda sucked, but I did enjoy the rice. tldr: the food sucked, prices were insane for the quality. wouldn’t eat here again."

"From the clean lines and light decor to the friendly staff and the wonderful, freshly prepared fare, this gem of a restaurant is worth the drive from San Antonio. At most restaurants, little thought is given to the rice and beans. At New Vasquez, the sides of rice and beans are light and fluffy and fresh and could stand alone. The cheese enchiladas are the best I have ever had. (Sorry, Mom. The service was attentive but not smothering. Our sever was Bri. She guided us in our selections and was most helpful. A conversation with owner Queque Vasquez (co-owner with his wife made us feel like honored guests and not customers. Highly recommended."

"Lovely restaurant. Warm chips. Salsa was great. Someone mentioned the chips being too greasy. I didn't think so. They were thicker than usual but really delightful. I had the bean and cheese nachos and my guest had the chicken flautas. We were both very happy with our choices. I loved that these thicker chips held their shape and didn't get soggy. All the same the food wasn't over the top with flavor but super satisfying. We were very pleased with the service. They were well attentive and accommodated several needs/wants. You'll be glad you went. On a side note, the do allow service dogs. They initially asked for the papers but accepted my guests dogs service vest as proof enough."
