"Before a 12:30 midday booking personally a week ago, for our party of 5 for a family birthday. It was time to be said today, very...fearing.... that our booking was not listed, and unless I could find my confirmation email we could find quite...good luck as they were full, with many big parties expected. Fortunately, the confirmation was still on my phone And the server that had taken it was also there reminded us. The rather unwilling woman, the “believed”?! We said that despite our booking, we could not sit in the area for which we had booked for the expected amount. This turned out to be a bonus, as we were sitting in a beautiful room with a fireplace instead, away from a big loud party in the first room. There were no other customers in the room where we were all the time, still in the first room. Apparently it was to be overcrowded at 5 a.m. until what time we expected, and were long gone. I ordered the Irish stew recommended by friends and was served as a sodab dish. What I got was a ceramic bowl of mushy, not particularly delicious stew with sodabred on the side, a little disappointing for $25. Husband ordered the beef belt cake the cake was fine, although it apparently came “deconstructed” with a shot glass Guinness on the plate next to it. His “chips salad” was a big bunch of chips and a fork of salad. Brother in the law got the Shepherds Pie, who looked lovely, but he said was so salty he couldn't eat much of it. The other meals in our party, a veggie curry and a Calamari main, were fine. Plus! Our server, the same person who had originally booked us, was excellent, friendly and professional and had beautiful customer service skills. They also held a birthday cake that we brought into the kitchen for us, then they brought after our meals, candles lit, with knives, spoons, plates. The drinks were good and cheap, and the fireplace was nice on a cold rainy day. It was very pleasant to have a large room for us. The woman who was “created” and so unwilling seemed to warm up something when the afternoon went, and was more friendly. Maybe she had stressed the crowd she expected. When we were gone, she told us how busy it was the next day, so maybe she had mixed her days! We were also allowed to share the bill 3 ways, and nothing was charged for the cake service to do some places. The place was still very empty when we left at 3:30. It used to be a visit to our family birthday... I wouldn't go back in a hurry, except maybe for drinks."

"I decided I felt like eating pizza after a long hot day. Decided to try Malvern Pizza because they got the highest rating for pizza in my area on Deliveroo. Delivery was fast. I ordered the Volcano pizza which has salami, capsicum, olives, cheese and jalapeños. My favourite type of pizza. I was very happy with the size (was quite large for a small sized pizza) and was well valued for $11.90. It was delicious, spicy and the crust was great too! Can highly recommend!"
