"This place is great. Once a month the b/f and I get the gyros platter to go. One platter and we split it! And we both like to eat! You can ask for extra pickled stuff on your salad (mmmm) and the owners are so nice, so make sure you ask if you want something! A great local business to support."

"This is the best Indian food I’ve had since leaving Toronto for Ottawa. I can only comment on the take out and not the actual restaurant itself. High quality meat excellently flavoured in the curry dishes. Thick flavourful curries. Very large portions, certainly enough to...split a curry dish and a rice order for two people as a meal, plus or minus an appetizer. Will recommend to anyone looking for casual Indian, and will continue to order from here."

"Ok Indian food. It is the best choice in Barrhaven, so if you don't want to go far, it won't steer you wrong. The service for dine in is slow, though, so keep that in mind. The portions are large and the flavour is good."

"Five of us dined at Mia's for our first time on Friday night. The food was absolutely the best. Every dish we shared was so flavourful. Beef Vindaloo was melt in your mouth tasty, but also comes with a warning, that the heat level is not for the mild spice diners. Our friendly and helpful server, the head chef's wife, made sure we had plenty of water to keep the fire under control. The tandoori chicken was tender and moist and every bite came with the distinctive smokey tandoor flavour. The butter chicken was creamy and savoury, and the plate consisted of all chicken breast, no dark meat. The apps were equally delicious including the naan, garlic and regular, which were served hot out of the oven. The wine choices were fine, although our red wine was served quite warm, but not enough to return it. However, the mango lassi's were cold and refreshing. This small and well decorated Indian restaurant probably doesn't get the social media credit that it deserves. Probably because it's not located in the usual dining districts, but with plenty of parking and a very accessible location, I would highly recommend you experience the professional and friendly staff at Mia's St. Laurent, the food will speak for itself. "Counter service. It's mostly pre-made, so the selection is limited to a few very simple things, but that also means it's very, very quick to get your food. The NAAN was baked to order, though, so that takes about 5 minutes. But, really--naan made just...for you, piping hot? Yum. Sure there are other, sit-down-type Indian restaurants with finer food and broad menus, but this place is excellent for what it is and where it is. Prices are reasonable and the people are very nice (though they can seem brusque at first blush)."

"My favourite place for all-you-can-eat lunch downtown, and it's only $14.99. The selection small but diverse enough to cater to anyone's taste. For the same price, you can fill a container to go if you don't have time to eat in. This place fills up fast, but you can avoid the crowd entirely by arriving before 12:00 or after 1:00. Lunch is available from 11:00 to 2:00. Update: The lunch buffet price has gone up from $12.95 to $14.99."

"This little hole in the wall restaurant is worth the lineup and the cramped quarters. Their Thali and garlic naan are the best I've had in Ottawa. Plus there's a little Indian grocer next door where you can get delicious samosas and burfi to take home."
