"The cafe looks a bit dark and gloomy and the decor in the toilet is weird, BUT I had the best ever Brie bacon and cranberry sandwich here. Well cooked and lovely thick bread used to make it. The service was good and it was good value,"

"Wow! John created the most amazing tskeaway sandwiches for our family picnic today. Everyone was amazed at how much filling there was. They were all so, so tasty. We also had a selection of cakes (rock cakes, brownies and Victoria sponge) again amazing. All really fresh and delicious. Shared sone of what we as left over with a friend who bakes semi professionally and she thought the rock cakes were fantastic! Talking hands really is a hidden gem in Hassocks. Really is worth the visit."

"Always loved torys in the summer and sometimes forget to visit when its cold, but the drinks are lovely and the food is fantastic. There's a small seating area inside and tables outside. Definitely recommended"

"The drinks always taste different here and the one time I ate hear I did regret it. It is possibly the most skanky pub in Burgess Hill with a really really tired interior, dirty toilets and sticky tables and floors. When it rain you cannot...sit at the front window because of the leak in the ceiling which has not been fixed for many years. The drinks are over priced and always seem to taste funny. Just avoid it as any other pub in town is much better than this."

"Been before and the food was really great. However, hubby's fish (fish and chips) was not great and I had the roast beef. Which was okay but lacking in enough gravy. Had to ask twice before I got some so not good. Staff were wonderful and very pleasant."
