"I expected alot from this restaurant based on reviews that I read prior to ordering food from here. It's definitely not what I had expected as far as Hawaiian cuisine and flavors go. The kalua pork was very dry and flavorless, the teriyaki chicken was okay but the sauce tasted burnt and bitter. The chicken katsu had no flavor at all. The musubi was meh, not bad but not the greatest either. And the mac salad was definitely not Hawaiian style... it had a very overwhelming onion taste. For the portions you receive for your order, the price is definitely not worth paying. Almost 5 bucks for a musubi, almost 5 bucks for a dipping sauce cup size of mac salad, maybe 2 tablespoons of kalua pork and a whole heavy serving of soggy rice. I definitely would not recommend this place if you are looking for Hawaiian food. If you think the food is great, then you haven't had authentic Hawaiian food yet. My homemade Hawaiian food is way better and more flavorful ?"

"I 'm here because of 'Dai ' Mochizuki that manages bartends. Excellent Japanese service (Dai is from Hamamatsu, Japan and he is a Seattle Dojo judoka). Dai researched the ramen for a month in Japan and used to work for Ramen Man down the street and it 's the best ramen on 45th. His Japanese quality control is excellent. I 've run into Japanese regulars from other places that come here because it 's the best value for Japanese food on 45th you get Dai 's service. Happy Hour is 5-7pm everyday here and is great, especially during late night Friday-Saturday 10pm-midnight. There is an Izakaya menu full bar, therefore it 's a great place for drinking. The menu has a Latin twist (MeJari= Mexican Japanese American) on rolls (makikomi) some dishes but it still classical Japanese on the sushi ramen. If you like Japonessa, price service is better here."

"Came here for the third time while I took a girl on a date and made it right this time. The daily menu has a wealth of things to experience the feeling of restaurant and I can say that is one of the best Japanese meals I had. The ambience was wonderful, and the food was spectacular. The tastes were all so free from each other, and it was paired with spectacular service. The kaarage back ribs fell from the bone, the uni-style had incorporated the flavors so perfectly, and the sushi was amazing. Served for the type of food, the price is not bad at all, and that comes from a cheap ass person"
