"Loved the ambience..... loved the service and most importantly loved loved prawn coconut curry..... the people running the restaurants are so soft spoken and courteous. price is on the higher side but taste is equally gr8. Would suggest this place to everyone visiting mahabalipuram."

"I visited this cafe last year on my trip to Mahabalipuram. I'd heard about it from a couple of friends so decided to try it myself. On the first step in it gives a really nice feel. It is kind of like a rooftop cafe...having both tables-chairs and low lying tables and mattresses to sit on. The service was a little slow but maybe it was just that day. As for the food I'll say its so-so. I didn't relish it as much as other folks would have but then again I only like seafood which doesn't smell as much (you know the smell of a fish freshly caught)"

"Went there for lunch. I was the only customer. I ordered grilled fish and soda water. First came lemon soda and then a very small fish for 300 Rs with a small portion of fries. I was still hungry at the end.I sat at the rooftop corner to enjoy the views and the waiter came and started to chat. I made him clear I was in no mood for smalltalk and just wanted to be alone but he stayed in front of me for the whole meal.And the only active mosquito I ever saw at noon was in that place.There are numerous better places in town, especially near the bank."

"Hospitality and customer service in the restaurant business is not always about delicious food and perfectly presented dishes. Sometimes it's always about the personal touch of the manager and the owner to go by and talk to the customers. It is also about making sure that the customer feels welcome and starts with a satisfied meal and a smile on the face. 'Village Inn Restaurant ' in Mahabs is such a place where more than the food is at the centre. After we said that none of the dishes we ate were bad. They were good and we were happy."

"The overall quality of food we had was ok...good. The prawns in corriander and garlicbutter sauce were well done. But the fish was not upto the mark, it hadn't been cleaned properly at all. The soup was ok. We weren't tempted to try anything more. But it was ok for the prices they charge. Resaonably good."

"A cozy, small cafe just by the beach attached to Mumu's Surf Shop. Lovely deco with wooden structures, green plants, and bohemian-style furniture and details. Only few seats mean that the atmosphere remains peaceful and you can relax, read a paper or check your messages with their free wifi. I had breakfast there on two occasions and the food and service was great. Try the excellent home-cooked bread that you cannot find anywhere else in Mamallapuram. They also make creative dessers and other novel dishes, ask what special is on the menu on that day!"

"Directly on the beach with magnificent views of the sea and the fishermen and their colorful boats. Beer is not readily available in South Indian cafes, so nice to eat here over a cold beer or two. I didn't eat here, so I can't comment."
