"We went last Saturday. The waiters were rude. They took away our plates and serving dishes without asking even though we were still eating. Throughout the dinner, we felt that we were being rushed. The waiter even yelled at us to take our desert bowls away. Due to that, we decided to give a low tip because of the bad service. Without even asking us “why” we decided to tip lower than “usual”, the manager put up his arrogant face and told us that 10% is the “expected amount”. We told him that the service was rude and we were being rushed out the door. We were trying to celebrate a special occasion but we didn’t enjoy our dinner. Without apologizing, he argued that they were busy. This place is rude and definitely doesn’t care about your business because they are too “busy”. This was not cheap dinner. For our group, the bill was over $500. It doesn’t matter if your restaurant check is $50 or $5000, this was terrible and extremely rude service! If you want value and respectable service, go somewhere else."

"My wife and I needed a quick dim sum breakfast on the way out of Vancouver on a Friday morning. Found some positive reviews and had the GPS guide us to the nondescript location of Paramount Seafood. Ordered the special crab/pork dumplings, shrimp dumplings, bbq...pork buns and fried sticky rice. Everything was superb, some of the best we have ever had (and that includes San Francisco, Hong Kong, and many other cities). The staff were friendly and efficient. The room is without interest, but who cares? I highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back!"

"It was ok food, nothing extraordinary, but pricy. The staff was ok too, not very fluent in English and didn't quite understand some of our requests. It was convenient location for our family to eat because we stayed in Raddison hotel."

"Jade is a great place for Cantonese dishes and dimsum, definitely the high standard of Cantonese cuisine around the Richmond area. Jade gets 5 stars from me, because I love a special dish that they do so well... their Sakura Pork Patties with Fried...Egg and Fragrant (Scallion) rice. Without this as my personal favorite, it would probably be 4/5 for me. They do one of my favorite simple dishes incredibly delicious! also their cheongfun is pretty good. p.s. I am not sure why the pork patties are called “Sakura”. BUT her Siewmai is also characterized by “sakura” although an extremely standard and ordinary type of Siewmai. Only the sakura patties with rice are what I recommend! The spices, taste and texture of these (correct) pork patties are really goldenstar!"

"Located just at the same place where the previous Kam Do Restaurant in Alexandra Road, the Eat Street of Richmond. They offered traditional Cantonese food - congee, flat noodle, egg noodle and rice with various topping (all day) but will give you a dinner menu at the right time if you come for dinner. Actually, the team was said to come from the previous famous Ho Yuen Kee Restaurant in Fraser Street, Vancouver (I was told). Food quality is upto standard and price is just alright - reasonable price. Dinning hall is comfortable n you won't feel too crowded. Parking is available at the back. My friend visited them during lunch time with satisfaction as well. They closed at 11:00 pm."

"A couple of people recommended this restaurant. We were not happy with the spaghetti. Meat balls tasted like some type of corn meal-no meat. Ordered a cocktail--a double--tasted like there was no liquor in it. Said something to waitress and she did bring a shot back. No charge. Waitress was very nice and had a great attitude."

"I remember the Gastown location being very good back in the day. I hadn't been to a Spaghetti Factory in a few years so it was shocking as to how bland the food was. The server did notice that I barely touched my food and offered a new dish. I was too disappointed to bother with another. I do appreciate the manager coming over to discuss and they ended up taking it off the bill."
