"Visited again April 7, 2013 for Sunday BrunchThe restaurant has improved their menu and choices include some interesting dishes. Breakfast dishes include waffles, eggs, beans, crisp bacon, sausages, and waffles, for breakfast lovers. The hot luncheon dishes include: Chicken, marinated mussels, fish, and yummy thinly sliced roasted potatoes. There is also a creamy soup and choice of breads. The salad bar includes tender Salmon fish, smoked salmon, Asian-dressed spinach salad, colourful roasted peppers & eggplant, avocado in a white creamy dressing (which kept on disappearing), as well as all the regular salads and trimmings, cold cuts etc.The nicest feature is the young man who prepares your pasta sauce as you wish it, and the pasta comes out great. At the same island with the Pasta making chef, there is Roast beef, done just right served with its sauce, and good horseradish. The desert table includes a few cheeses, mostly locally produced, fresh fruits blueberries, strawberries, fresh fruit salad, various pie style deserts baked on location, the Lemon-Cheese pie was good, and different kinds of mousse-type deserts. Coffee comes to the table often - service is very friendly and attentive. The new Executive Chef Pierre-André Cantin is gradually introducing new dishes and tastes, as well as locally grown and produced foods. The team is headed by the new Restaurant Manager Mario Gagné, who says that they are having fresh wind in their sails to bring back Chantecler to its fame of the past."

"Ma femme connaissait déjà ce restaurant et c'était une première pour moi. On nous accueilli avec un beau sourire et une dame chaleureuse qui a un bon sens de l'humour. Le concept est inusité car on choisi sur la menu ce que l'on veux manger et ensuite on nous fait brasser des dés. J'imagine que je n'ai rien gagné mais il arrive que l'on peux gagner son déjeuner. C'est fait maison avec amour et la nourriture goûte bon. Un très bon rapport qualité-prix et un bon service. Le seul petit hic est que vous devez vous lever pour aller vous remplir votre tasse de café et aller chercher vos accompagnements comme le beurre d'arachide ou le caramel ou confitures mais encore là le choix est assez varié pour se le faire pardonner. Une visite s'impose pour une seconde visite pour aller diner dans cet endroit où la boustifaille est bonne"

"We had a great time there. The place is very friendly. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to your table. I had the fish and chips, it was scrumptious, not too heavy on the breading, right amount of sauce, the chips were delicious, service very friendly, like eating at home. I highly recommend it."

"This is another husband and wife operation with the wife cooking all food. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast and lunch closing the kitchen at 2PM. The food and service are great and at reasonable prices."

"This restaurant is very good. I go there from time to time and my father has been a client since the 1970s (he worked very closely). I went there with my mother two days ago. We both liked our meal. My mother took a late lunch (after 11am) and had a very nice plate accompanied by grapes and pineapple. I took the menu of the day for about $10.50: soup, fried chicken with very good fries and sauce, dessert and coffee. The service was very fast. for the menu of the day, he had other choices like, for example, of the sole net, always for the same price. So you can eat health or fast food according to your choice."
