"The restaurant offers a good selection of traditional German foods in a beautiful atmosphere for an evening of fine eating. the food fulfills the expectations and is of good quality, but at the next table they have forgotten a main course and if they finally serve it (if all other guests at this table, where more or less finished) they have not even much to apologize and the meat was not prepared as ordered. I myself canceled my order for a desert when she had not arrived even after 40 minutes. the main problem is that in the near environment there is a quantity of competition with the example otts leopoldhöhe or hotel kronen and they only do not stack them in comparison to them. on the basis that I unfortunately do not recommend the place, but if they would improve their service, they would be a great option."

"Turkish high-end food, grill mixes recommended, but intentionally, it is huge. we have ordered a portion for people and still not finished it. there was also some cheese egg thing that was fantastic. all too reasonable trips were thrilled"

"Auf dem Rückweg aus dem Urlaub wollten wir in Weil am Rhein Essen gehen. Ich kannte aus einem früheren Aufenhalt ein Restaurant in der Hauptstraße. Leider gibt es dieses scheinbar nicht mehr und wir entschieden uns daher für das Schanghai. Wir alle mussten nach der langen Fahrt dringend auf Toilette und so war es schon etwas störend, dass das Restaurant erst auf den Punkt zur Öffnungszeit aufgeschlossen wurde, obwohl die Dame uns und vor allem unsere Kinder vor der geschlossenen Türe hat herumhüpfen sehen. Aber: Ist schon okay, ist ihr gutes Recht. Wir durften einen der für später reservierten Tische besetzen (zu sechst war das die einzige Möglichkeit). Die Bestellung wurde aufgenommen und das Essen kam mit großem zeitlichen Abstand so dass die Kinder schon lange aßen, als wir Eltern das Essen endlich bekamen. Das Restaurant füllte sich schnell. Das Essen war lecker (nicht außergewöhnlich gut, aber doch okay). Etwas irritierend war, dass als wir nach Essstäbchen fragten erst zwei Paar für die Erwachsenen gebracht wurden und uns zeitgleich das reguläre Besteck weggenommen wurde. Als wir aber sagten, dass auch die Kinder gerne Stäbchen haben würden, schien die Dame gleich etwas genervt, brachte dann aber 4 Paar Stäbchen hinterher.Irgendwann im Verlauf des Essens kam sie dann, griff unerwartet über unsere Teller und schnappte sich das verbliebene Besteck vom Tisch. Unsere verdutzten Gesichter hätte ich gerne als Foto.Dann bestellten wir etwas Reis nach. Sie nahm die leere Schüssel mit, sagte keinen Ton und verschwand. Es dauerte und dauerte. Zum Glück hatten unsere Kinder noch Reis, so dass wir weiteressen konnten. Wir begannen zu zweifeln ob sie eventuell dachte, wir wollten nur mehr Platz auf dem Tisch haben.Als wir fast fertig waren, kam der Reis dann aber doch.Wir bezahlten, gaben wenig Trinkgeld (was die Dame sichtlich ärgerte) und verließen das Lokal.Abgesehen von dieser Bedienung war das Essen völlig okay, schön dekoriert (mit Lilien aus Karottenstreifen) und preislich angemessen. Zum Stammlokal wird es für uns aber sicher nicht, zumal wir ja auch nur auf der Durchreise waren."

"I've been here in the last 17 years. Previously it was the best Chinese food they could find at a great price. from 3 years I would have valued it much higher. but the last 3 years. the waiters don't seem to be motivated. prices are quite strong in the comparison of German restaurants. also, now there is this stuffy air from grilled eating in the air. the eating itself has become less authentic as it was earlier. Unfortunately, the last dishes I ordered were all quite fat. If you never had it and believed a Chinese food, you might want to try it. the decoration is still beautiful, and a small free digestion drink at the end is tradition. but I'm sure you can get more money for you."

"Have been a few times with kids under for sunday lunch. The service is fast and casual and here is a wide range of menu choices. Very large portions i share with a friend. There is a TV blaring pop videos, so we...prefer to sit away from that as the images are not suitable for our young children. That said, we brought along the tablets last time so the kids could watch their own program . usually we wouldn't do that in a restaurant, but here, with the public TV, we felt it was acceptable. High chairs available"

"We stopped by last Saturday. Upon arrival the waitress told us (before saying "hello "we only have Pizza, Pasta and Salad, but no meat dishes at this time of the day. OK. So we sat down and had a look. The waitress then kind of...rushed us to make a decision. The place was virtually empty, so no reason for rushing from my point of view. If you like the rougher type of charme, you'd be getting along with the waitress very well. We ordered Rigatoni and a mixes salad with stripes of Turkey meat. The food arrived more or less on the spot with boiled to death Rigatoni sided with a completely tasteless sauce and a little bit of spinach. The mixed salad was a green salad with a handful of grated carrot and a ready-to-serve dressing, probably from a liter container. While we ate, the TV set on the terrace was turned on, because of a World Cup soccer game. At a volume that safeguarded that all the neighbors metres down the road would not miss a detail of the game. All in all: Underwhelming food and a questionable approach to service. If this is the number one place in Weil then you should not consider Weil for food at all"
