"Wir waren eher zufällig da und waren begeistert - von thüringischer bis modern-leichter Küche komme sowohl Fleischesser als auch Vegetarier voll auf ihre Kosten! Auch der Service und der Koch verdienen ein Extralob - sehr aufmerksam, alle Extrawünsche und Allergien werden beachtet;) Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen, wenn der nächste Weimarbesuch ansteht."

"We had lunch here during the Church-day weekend at Weimar. The restaurant was quite full but we got one table luckily. They have special lunch menu which is very good value. You have a light main dish and eat-as-much-as-you-can salad bar. The waitress took our...order very quickly and our food arrived shortly after that. We all had fish soup with freshly-baked bread with some garlic dip. Everything was perfect. The salad bar offers a variety of salads and they are superb too. It was also ideal for a hot day. The meal didn't look big but we were quite full afterward so we had to skip the cakes which looked very inviting. The interior is modern, the chairs are very comfortable. Even though this restaurant belongs to a hotel catering to families, the atmosphere is still quiet and peaceful."

"In einem der ältesten Häuser weimar's ließen wir uns abends zu acht nieder. Die Preise waren günstig, die Portionen groß. Die Biere waren lecker, beim Weißwein mussten wir etwas probieren, bis wir etwas für uns gefunden hatten, aber dann ok. Das Essen war wie bei muttern, grosse Portionen und wir hätten bestimmt auch noch Nachschlag bekommen, aber es war mehr als genug. Wer feine Küche erwartet ist hier falsch, hier ist klassische thüringische Küche. Der Service war locker, aber immer korrekt und wir hatten jederzeit Getränke und auch das Essen kam in angemessener Zeit."

"I loved this place. It‘s right next to the Schwarzbierhaus and set up in Wild West style. I loved the whole scenery and the way the place was decorated. The food was delicious and the staff members very funny and quick. Would love to go...there again"

"Ich war mit Freunden im Shakespeares und es hat uns allen sehr gefallen. Ich hatte Bratwurst mit Kartoffelbrei und Salat. Dazu noch einen Mango-Ananas Smoothie. Alles hat wunderbar geschmeckt und war frisch zubereitet. Das Personal war auch super freundlich. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!"

However, the staff kicked us out without notice because there was a show on, and they made us leave behind the food and drinks that we had already paid for."

"Ich habe an einem frühen Samstagabend draußen gesessen, Wetter gut, Betrieb mäßig, Wein und Wasser waren gut gekühlt und kamen auch schnell, mit dem vegetarschen Essen hatte ich weniger Glück, Käseteller gab es nicht mehr, das dann gewählte midterrane Gemüse war zwar lecker, aber sehr überschaubar und dafür defintiv zu teuer, als Beilage gab es 3 Eßlöffel völlig ungewürzten Reis ohne jede Sauce, der somit ungenießbar war"
