Wir waren eher zufällig da und waren begeistert - von thüringischer bis modern-leichter Küche komme sowohl Fleischesser als auch Vegetarier voll auf ihre Kosten! Auch der Service und der Koch verdienen ein Extralob - sehr aufmerksam, alle Extrawünsche und Allergien werden beachtet;) Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen, wenn der nächste Weimarbesuch ansteht. read more.

...cause the portions are huge. Place was very busy on a weeknight, seemingly popular with the locals. The restaurant has a quaint atmosphere with communal tables and friendly and efficient service. The food is of average quality, sauce was convenience, massive dumplings were cut up into slices (you´d do that when you fry them up in a pan but those were fresh), meat was tender and well cooked.

At Hanz und Franz in Weimar, you can get hearty German meals along with delicious side dishes like potatoes and salads, the place provides however also menus typical for Europe. Not to be overlooked is also the large selection of coffee and tea specialties in this restaurant.
