"We are long time Cabo residents and have overlooked this great restaurant and do not know why. We just tried it and it was very good with lots of different types of beef cooked the Brazilian way. They were mouth watering, tender with outstanding flavor. My favorite was the New York cut which melted in our mouths. The margaritas were a bit weak without all the true Mexican flavor one comes to expect in a Mexican margarita. They were good however. We had the summer "meat lovers" special so we never saw the menu but this is a steakhouse! We were greeted by Tomas and seated near the center of the restaurant. It seats about 25 people. It was about 3/4 full but the food never stopped. You start off with a large fresh salad, steamed vegetables and then the meat starts to arrive. And it just keeps coming until you ask them to stop! This is a very good restaurant located on Ninos Heroes Street. It is one street off Marina Blvd. We will definitely be returning. They might be our go to beef place in Cabo."

"A simply delicious and authentic taco shop in the heart of downtown Cabo. The meat was flavorful and the experience was down to earth. Really makes you feel like a part of the local community."

"We were in Cabo a couple weeks back and wanted to try this restaurant but they didn't open until 4 and it did not fit in our schedule. This time we made it part of our schedule. What a fabulous restaurant!! Bravo for the hospitality, friendliness, enthusiasm showed by the employees. Impressive! We arrived around 7 and were seated immediately as we were the only customers. We choose seating by the windows and slightly away from a brick oven where the cooking was done. (Could feel heat from oven) There are A/C units above these windows seats. (The wi-fi in this restaurant runs at 7-10 megabits)We ordered some cocktails and a bottle of wine as we checked the menu. TA reviews talk mostly about the all meat order and that was way more then they could eat. So we were going to try something more manageable. After thoroughly going through the menu and discussions amongst us we each ordered the Rodizio. So much for something more manageable. The Rodizio is the meat marathon. And it was fabulous! We had never been to something quite like that. All cooked in the open fire pit on skewers. Brought to your table that way, carved off the skewer and you assisting, guiding it to your plate with small tongs. We asked for medium rare and that's how it arrived. While your meat is being prepared you are brought out bread, sauces, chicken wings, yams, bacon wrapped turkey, and several very tasty relishes. Soon the chef arrives with the skewer from the oven. The first was a flank steak which is gently carved at your table. And it was then I lost count. Not sure of the order they arrived but as you can see from my posted menu photo there is rib eye, lamb, sausages, shish kebab, top sirloin, (guilt comes in at this point as passerby stare in through the windows), but not sure we got the BBQ ribs. I was getting woozy and a little light headed by then. Maybe like that last camp before the peak ascent. We split a key lime pie (just a slice not whole pie) that was store bought but tasted similar to a Key West pie.Thoroughly satisfied we were ready to move on to another challenge and received our bill. Our bill was not cheap by Mexico standards but certainly was by US standards. When we have the time on our next return we will come here again. And I hope it will be the same. It was beyond what we expected."

"This was the most delicious taco we had our entire trip. Street meat was so friggin good we may have to go back. We hung at the bar next door and there was always a line with locals and tourists. A serious MUST DO. So reasonably priced and delicious (sausage was my fav)."

"I'll go with the other 4 star ratings because there really is no other store within walking distance where you can find nondairy basics, like almond milk or yogurt. This place is expensive, and Nilla Wafers are on the shelf with Oreos and natural gluten-free snacks. Most sections had natural and commercial/ processed items right on the same shelves, so there was a real mix of choices and availability. Frozen vegan proteins are all mixed in with the frozen animal meats. There was not much produce. I didn't buy anything here because of the prices, I just did without. If I return to stay in downtown Cabo without a car rental I will bring supplies with me- from Alaska, where things are usually way more expensive than anywhere else."

"I have eaten both breakfast and lunch there, and the breakfast menu is far better and far cheaper than the lunch menu. Mar De Cortez is a good place to eat downtown."
