"I don't normally write a bad review purely because of service, but I have to make an exception due to the way the manager handled my complaint. We ordered two margherita pizzas, and one of them came undercooked - it looked paler than the other and when I tried a first bite it tasted like uncooked bread dough. I discretely called the manager over and mentioned the issue. He was immediately defensive saying that this is how it's traditionally made, that it cooks in 90 secs, etc. I say I am Italian and I know the taste of uncooked dough, I have made undercooked pizza myself. He says: I can put it back in the oven if you like it crispy, but it may burn. I say: I think you should make another one. He agrees but not before saying: so you want it crispy. I say with a smile: I want it cooked. Then a new properly cooked pizza came out. Never did the manager apologise for the inconvenience.I don't think that customers are always right, but they should at least be given the benefit of the doubt. Especially when an almost untouched pizza is sent back and could be checked by the chef."

"We enjoyed a few of breakfasts here while staying at the UPEI Summer Accommodations. You could eat as much as you needed at the buffet which seemed to offer a different hot special each day, but also had all the things you expect to see at a breakfast buffet: eggs, meat (sausage and bacon), pancakes or fresh toast, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, fruit salad, a variety of breads, bagels, muffins, etc. A variety of beverages were also available. The staff at the caf were really friendly and kind. They were always interested in what we were doing for the day and what attractions we were going to enjoy. Pretty impressive service for a university cafeteria!"

"My family and I are so grateful that we stumbled over this place, the service was impeccable, atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious. They change their menu every month that we think is super cool and as a family with a million allergies (tiles, seafood, nuts, milk, soy, etc.) we were delighted with the precautions taken and certain that we were in the right hands. I love my family, but we tend to hold very hard when it comes to trying new restaurants because we have high expectations that this restaurant has blown us out of the water! We cannot wait to come back and are even more excited to try a whole new menu! Try this is a must whether you only want a drink or look for a delicious food of Hopyard is the place to be!"

"Absolutely amazing food and a great place to sit - if you are interested in sitting outside, but the staff was amazing. 2 sweet people helped my mother and I- we mentioned that we wanted to share the cold and warm and to our surprise it came in the middle cut!"

"Stayed at the hotel for our first wedding anniversary. The romance package with food wasn't worth it with basic fish and chips type foods on the restaurant menu so we just paid for the room and ate elsewhere. If you are the type to indulge in fine dining I'd recommend heading somewhere else. The bar tender at the bar was lovely and a great conversationalist. The only reason for 3 Stars is that chambers was very dissappointing. The server seated us for breakfast asked me what I'd like to drink and left. Didn't ask my husband and just brought him a red rose tea, which he doesn't drink. Poured my green tea and had a hair in it, I left it aside and grabbed a cup from the next table. That cup was dirty, annoyed I used it anyway. Green tea brand was terrible. The server was slightly rude and dismissive of our breakfast choices really didn't feel welcoming. Asked for well cooked eggs, and the yolks were still half runny. Literally writing my review from my seat in the restaurant and my tea is already cold. Weve stayed at other Rodd locations and many times. This one wasn't on the top of the list for food and service. We'll stay again but definitely will never eat here again."
