"I was walking past and thought I’d pop in for breakfast. I ordered eggs Benedict and what I got was microwaved hard boiled eggs on spinach and a crumpet covered in a packet hollandaise sauce . It’s was vile, also a side of microwaved dehydrated mushrooms and side salad. I had to cover it with a napkin and leave without kicking off and making a scene. Avoid this place like the plague."

"The most expensive item on the menu was sirloin steak 15. I do not believe any other item on the menu exceeded 10 and its a big choice menu. the service was quick and attentive. the food was well displayed on the plates . the restaurant/cafe was clean and neat. a good place to go to eat."

"Classic English manor pub style and atmosphere, but with a menu interpretation from the 21st century, which definitely impresses. we visited the 2021 euro final, and regardless of the result, the drinks and experience were very good. the order on their phone makes for seamless rounding of drinks and eating, and the eating and drinks themselves are exactly what they want. as a vegan I was really impressed by the banana blossom chips with how close it is to fish. the appetizer of the allotment is a great vegan starter with amazing hummus, falafel and veg."

"On Potters Bar High Street. Should be parking depending when you arrive. Weekdays fine. Mainly lamb, all kinds of ways, chicken and fish. The Special for two is good but I suggest , if if there are four of you. Pick the Special for two, the others do not have starters as there is a small selection of Mezes with the Special plus a big portion of mixed salad and rice with it. Enough for four! Then the other two pick the cheapest mains they like and all share the Special! Special consists of chicken shish, lamb shish, two lamb chops, lamb ribs, minced lamb sausage . My suggestion is for economic eating as the Special may be too much for two. They will supply a doggy bag. Food is hit and miss. The lamb was great but the chicken too dry. The whitebait seemed unevenly cooked, see photo). Mains not generous though the Monkfish shish was nice. Attentive and friendly staff. This appears to be expensive area. Some drinks and food prices high. £3.95 for spirits. Cheapest bottle of wine approx £18. Overall not to bad an experience. Good staff/ doggy bag , for the Special). Hit and miss with the food."

"We are likely to arrive twice a week in the village cafe. whether coffee, sandwich or a snack lunch, it is always very nice. georgina, chris and the girls are always very pleasant and the caffe allows well pampered dogs in and will offer water dishes!"

"Exactly £10 for a pint of Neck Oil and a small glass of Diet Coke. More expensive than the Cow at Westfield shopping centre Stratford and pubs in the City. Outrageous profiteering. No doubt the manager will reply trying to discredit an honest observation."
