"The fish and chips here are really nice, portions are great value for money. Breakfast sandwiches are just what’s needed bacon is definitely high quality. You cannot forget the pies and puddings not your usual sad looking chippy pie home made by the family just up the road! You can tell the owner has pride for their business and food. "We were staying in Hope recently and picked up our picnics and lunches here several days running. Everything was lovely but we'd particularly recommend the spinach and ricotta pastry, the sausage rolls and the Bakewell tart/pudding. The staff were really friendly and I was especially touched by how patient they were with my (adult) daughter who is autistic and has a learning difficulty."

"Venue was lovely, all the staff were excellent. Food was very good, authentic. Only down side was we ordered a side of halumi fries which seemed very small for over £6. The manager came and explained politely how the portion size was decided. Very professional and friendly so no problem at all. We had the pre theatre menu which was reasonably priced. Overall, was impressed and would recommend."

"We’ve been to this cafe a couple of times now, always tying it in with a visit to the ‘visitor centre’ which essentially is a glorified gift shop. The cafe is nice, spacious (not toilets these are in the outside public toilet block which I don’t like! . It does have baby changing facilities though. Note the opening hours are 09:30 16:00 which, when you arrive at 15:30 makes getting an order in eating a tight turnaround! We had cake and also had ordered a bowl of chips these took a long time and very much tasted like frozen chips just deep fried. Not very tasty. Cake and coffee were lovely though. Service was ok. No free wifi."

"We came for the Yorkshire Pudding Wrap and there was no disappointment. Turkey Yorkshire was delicious. I ordered the vegan cob without the mushroom and was offered a vegan sausage instead and it was out of this world. Friendly service, laid back atmosphere, would definitely recommend."
