"Didn’t want to cook, so popped along to this dog friendly cafe. Lovely lunch of liver and onions and quiche and salad very good value. I’m guessing the liver was cooked to order as it took a while, but was absolutely delicious served atop a huge mound of leek and bacon mash in a rich gravy. The only gripe is the lack of vegetables would be better to halve the portion of mash and add some peas. Extremely tasty leek and ham quiche with a lovely mixed salad and coleslaw. Friendly service with a smile."

"Booked for a birthday meal with friends and family. this was our fourth visit in white hard, no problems at 3 previous visit apart from long waiting times. but our 4th visit was really bad. no limonade at the bar to change the drink order. extra long waiting times both for beginners and for net, although only about 6 other people in the pub. than finally 2 of the meals did not come as ordered, one was corrected within 5 minutes the other (only one burger) was not received until after each other had finished eating. chips cold, drown almost frozen .. all meal times seemed as if they were sitting in the window waiting for a server to bring as soon as they were ready on their phone! I was a bit embarrassing when I told my friends that it was good, but they were not impressed at all. we like to support local businesses, but this 1-star experience means we don't visit again."

"Vegan products are cooked seperate. the fervent fritters are amazing. love the chips and gravy. can occasionally be met and miss, last time everything was wound seperate, although we asked to ask them together what seemed a waste of resources. quite expensive for a hip shop, in comparison to say ranmoor friery. vegan chios more expensive than normal chips. but good food for a tasty bite."

"Beautiful brot many sorts fresh home baked, and rolls and cakes, cakes etc. there are some tables where yiu can order breakfast when all kinds, sandwiches etc. the staff are all wonderful and very helpful and friendly they just want that they are happy with everything they buy. check the opening times when I later spend the week."

"1st visit to the swan and it won’t be our last .. my self and my husband both had pie , he had steak and mushroom whilst I opted for a litter bite meat and potatoe , our daughter had steak . All meals were...cooked perfectly the pie is amazing !! ..the desert was homemade and delicious. The service was first class , really felt welcome and like nothing was too much trouble .. and the building is wonderful . Best pub meal Iv had in many years ."
