"While spending a week in Ponta delgada on a youth project with 15 people we were given several food treats at the newly opened PONTO G cafe bar in the centre of the city during that time. Bruno Corvelo, a young brave and energetic entrepreneur from the island, decided to open a new cafe despite the economic crisis hitting south Europe. The young staff speak very well english and try their utmost to provide you with good service. There is always a smile for the customers from Bruno- the owner, chef, waiter and bartender. The food is mainly cafe style with huge, tasty sandwiches, but they can arrange an Azorean food night upon request for groups. This is an amazing treat with the best of the best from Azores. See pictures for how they cook the traditional Chorizo sausage with an open flame- delicious! They are growing their own herbs in the back yard for use with the food. If you want a snack or a drink or simply a coffee, this is absolutely worth a try. The furniture is home made by Brono from old Europall wood. Go and have a look!"

"This was a big surprise for me. It is really in the center, next to the cathedral, but the prices are really friendly. The vegetarian wrap is amazing (with soy meatballs and avocado), I think only the dip for fries is with mayo and so it can be made vegan check. There is also portobello muschroom burger, soup, salad bar, where you can mix what you want (including some grilled veggies and peas the day I was there)"

"This is a superb restaurant, and I recommend for anyone coming to Sao Miguel. I went without a reservation around 7pm and they took me right away. The service was first rate, and everyone was so kind. I had the limpets and the tuna, which was the fresh catch of the day. Everything was so good, and I couldn’t stop smiling. Stop and try this restaurant it was so good!"
