"Nice place lovely ambience great staff spoiled by the horrendous prices I’m sure £8 a pint is robbery and wine too! Kids small orange £3.50 the meals are already expensive but nice however the Prezzo burger is not worth £12.50 a few fries and a burger !!! Never return at that price I don’t mind if it’s a great meal not this !!! Staff rushed to get us out at the end tho the place was only a third full"

"We booked a table for a large group for my sister-in-laws 40th birthday. The service from staff was awful and several members of our group found them extremely rude. After almost 1 hour and 30 minutes we cancelled our order as there was no sign of it. When I gave them our menu choices, my own order had not been put through at all. The bar maid who cancelled my order was very abrupt and actually argued with me about the wait time. It was a terrible experience with very hungry young children in our party who didn't end up eating until almost 20:15 at a different location. The queuing system for the bar is also ridiculous and very slow. I was repeatedly told that they had no staff and that is why the service was not great!"

"Most disappointed with our treatment at the Wheel this Saturday. I attended the Wheel to meet my son for lunch and drinks. He was initially refused drinks as the landlord decided that he was drunk. We were eventually served drinks and lunch before being asked to leave. We had both been drinking elsewhere before arriving yet we certainly were not drunk. There are many examples of their customers, etc having had far more to drink than us at the Wheel. Had the landlord listened to anything that I was telling him, he would have realized that my son was actually out of breathe from running to meet me. I am a gentleman in his mid 50's, not a trouble maker nor a stranger. I have supported this pub for many years. I am genuinely concerned for the future of local businesses and always had it in mind to support the Wheel in particular once lockdown had finished. Myself and my family friends had been their only customers on occasions. I have never been refused service at a pub before. The decision to do so I found most insulting."

"By deliveroo ordered and they took forever a driver to gather the food. will move forward in the future. Eat was still very nice, we called for extra sauce to ask after we had placed our order and the guy on the phone was super friendly and helpful. we're coming back."

"Well what a little gem this was. Only popped in for a quick coffee and was quickly swayed by the menu too! Service from the young waiting staff was very efficient and friendly. A lovely modern and relaxed setting. Definitely an independent business worth supporting ..... we'll be back."

"Great chip shop always happy to help. My daughter has recently been diagnosed as coeliac. They’re always happy to make her gluten free chips and battered sausage. We’ve just come back from a week away didn’t find a single chip shop selling gluten free chips. We’re lucky to have them on our door step."

"We visit often. Very friendly staff and the place just feels nice around you because of that. The bar is well kept and there are a good selection of beers to choose from, from old favourites to modern IPA's. Food is simple but good quality. I particularly recommend the Open Steak Sandwich."

"I'll go two or three times in the week for a coffee with my dog bertie. service can be slow when the employees try to accommodate themselves and are friendly. good food and coffee recommended, with a dog friendly area."
