"Food was the best part of the experience. Waited longer for a server to come over than we did for our food to arrive. Also…no turkey. How do you run out of turkey when 80% of the menu has turkey in it? Very odd set up of the restaurant. Can see right through the very cramped and crowded kitchen. Owner was doing bills in the middle of the restaurant. Staff was rude and did not acknowledge our existence. Weird hours. Our waitress herself was actually very nice, though I could tell she was overworked and stressed. Wallpaper is peeling, decor is mixed matched. Prices were good. All around just an underwhelming experience.Kid-friendliness: Very much a family style restaurant"

"We have been meaning to try Chat bar for a while now and finally made it there tonight. The restaurant does not take reservations so we came on a weeknight to avoid a long weekend wait. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get seatedright away. Also note they only accept cash or Canadian debit. It's definitely a nice experience, from the music to thefriendly staff and even the cutlery and dishes were noticeable : We had the eggplant (highly recommend! , king oystermushrooms, beef skewers, scallops, and kimchi fried rice. This was a good amount of food for 2 people. Each dish was flavourfuland presented beautifully. My faves were the eggplant, beef skewers and kimchi fried rice. The scallops are presented withnoodles but they were quite overcooked so we couldn't enjoy them as much."

"We took a leisurely road trip down from Indianapolis to visit Bloomington and the Morgan-Monroe State Forest. We took the route around Lake Lemon because it looked scenic and we weren?t disappointed ? saw two whitetail bucks, lots of squirrels, and a variety of birds. We?d eaten a big lunch in Bloomington, so we stopped in the Port Hole Inn for just a snack and a restroom break. Everyone of the staff we talked to was just as nice as could be. They really make their guests feel welcome. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained. The layout and décor of the place is neat. They have a family area on one side and a bar area on the other. Apparently, they regularly have live bands in the evenings and the stage wall is decorated with old 45 records. The selection on the menu looked great, but since we?d just had lunch we stuck to a couple pieces of cheesecake, an order of mozzarella sticks, and a couple drinks to go. All was good. The biggest draw to us was the staff. They were all just so friendly that it made us want to come back. The next time we?re in the area we will probably make a point to stop in here for lunch or dinner."

"Clay Pot Rice is the thing here, the price is also very affordable. This place is fairly busy and it’s that big.All clay pot rice will come with a small soup of the day and a small dish of Chinese broccoli.The highlight is the clay pot rice, they have every imaginable pairing/topping available.The Chinese preserved sausage with sticky was so-so, the portion/amount of toppings I got was not enough, it didn’t even cover the rice, if you look at the my picture, there is clearly allot of visible white rice (meaning there was room to add toppings). Also the flavour of the Chinese preserved meat didn’t transfer to the sticky rice… which was very unexpected…The other clay pot rice we order (salty fish spare rib) was much much better, very very yummyThe menu is very simple… $12/$13 for each clay pot rice, only 1 size"
