"We were visiting the area and taking a walk one morning looking for a place along Santa Monica and Venice Beach to have breakfast. We happened upon the Fig Tree, which was pretty much the only place to have breakfast at about 8:30 am in the morning. However, we are sure glad that we found the Fig Tree! We had the Chilaquiles and Chicken Tinga Hash for breakfast, along with coffee. Both dishes were beautifully presented and tasted as good as they looked. The serving sizes were generous, the flavors of both dishes were fresh and delicious, and even after the meal, it didn't seem that we ate that much (but we did Also, the service was excellent, the restaurant is ideally situated near the beach, and we highly recommend the Fig Tree to visitors and locals alike."

"Very disappointing experience. at an hour waiting for a simple small pizza. tables that came after us were already served and no one took care of our table. Zu-go orderings have pre-arranged. not in order! never get the pizza. turns out that our order has never been turned on! they should be ashamed. we have been there regularly for years and so we are treated!? we didn't even get an apology. never again!"

"I've been going here since 2012 (pre vegan) and loved it! When I went vegan in 2016, I obviously couldn't eat here anymore. Several months ago, they posted on facebook about vegan hot dogs and I knew I had to try!! They usually have a different vegan option as one of their specials, as well as regular vegan dogs on the menu. Maria and the rest of the team are so kind and accommodating! A hot dog place is the last place I'd ever expect to have something for me to eat, but Mad Dogs is where it's at! Definitely give this place a try, vegan or not!"

"Great spot to grab some wine with friends, also perfect for a date. I really like what they’ve done with the interior, very cool vibes. Their wine selection is excellent (especially their offering of orange wines) and service is always good. You can run up a bill fairly easily here, but you’ll thoroughly enjoy yourself."
