"What a great place to sit, drink great wine and people watch, we sat outside on the terrace in some lovely shade and scoffed a fabulous chilled bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and watched the world pass by.A very social and friendly place to go, I well recommend it."

"Happy Hour. $ 5 glass Sauvignon Blanc. Works with me. Great view of Darling Harbor on the terrace tables. This is a nightclub bar, so you expect it to give music. Loud music."

"A very attractive restaurant. drawn from the menu and the equipment, we are here for dinner. friendly reception and a large ambiente. great menu and a comprehensive drink list. we went for the signature harrys singapur chili crab court. a kg...order together with roti and rice delivered a lot to eat for both of us. a bottle harry’s singapore chilli crab sauvignon blanc was the perfect wein to go with the meal. surely this is a real eating experience with plastic aprons provided (we soon knew why) and clean finger wash water regularly filled up, it was not only very tasty eating, but an entertaining evening of eating. the service was very friendly and attentive. we finished the evening with some perfectly prepared cocktails. ok, that is not a cheaper eating place, but if they want big seafood and a unique evening of eating, it is a good value for money. highly recommended."

City: Sydney, Foodhall, Lower Ground Floor, David Jones, 65-77 Market Street, CBD, Sydney, NSW, 2000, Australia
"Been here many times. The basement of the Market Street Store of David Jones is an Aladdin's Cave of delicacies. Teas, biscuits, chocolates, cheese, meat, fish, vegetables, nuts, fruit, condiments, bread, pastries, olive oils, coffee and tea from all over Australia and the world. A wonderland of tastes, but nothing is cheap, though you get what you pay for (in my opinion). If that isn't enough, you can sit on swivel seats at counters located around the floor and try some of the exquisite meals, also expensive, but cheaper than Harrods in London. My wife and I often venture into the City of Sydney for our shopping adventures and always end up at the David Jones Food Hall. Quite often just for tea and cake at the Market Street Kitchen, down the stairs from Market Street on the south side of the street. This part of the food hall is a wine connoisseurs heaven, where you can purchase a card and fill it with funds, where you can drink a variety of wines using the money in the card. I noticed you can buy a small, medium of large glass of wines from all over Australia, including a vintage bottle of Grange Hermitage or any wines up to the amount on your card. Every day, the area is full of wine buffs. My wife and I go there for either wine or tea and coffee with a light savoury meal or dessert. Additionally in the Food Hall, there is an Oyster Bar which sells fresh oysters, a beautiful seafood pie or a grilled salmon meal which are extremely enjoyable with a glass of champagne. We have also eaten in the Grill Bar, where you can order a beautifully cooked Fillet Steak with seasonal vegetables. Additionally, there is an Asian Noodle Bar, if you are craving laksa, dumplings or Asian noodles. At most of the counters, a full meal for two people, including mains and drinks, will be over $100. Today at 3.00 pm, we just shared a roasted chicken and salad sandwich, a glass of Tintara Shiraz from McLaren Vale, South Australia and a pot of Earl Grey Tea with a small jug of milk for $29. It is a special place to go and always busy at meal times. If you go out of the usual meal times, you shouldn't have a problem for seating. Recommended for full meals on special occasions (or even as a special snack, hard earned for walking around the different departments of the store and getting tired feet)."

"There are not many places left where you can smoke these days in Sydney: this is one with a view on Darling Harbour!outside are armchairs adn high tales with stools to please everyone.the staff is nice and offers fast service.a wide selection of cocktails is offered bu they put definitely too much ice in it, so you end up with maybe the equivalent of a third of a real glass, but at full price...a strange thing too: you can smoke and drink outside but you cannot eat...?food is inside only."
