"Wonderful meal! We were seated immediately by the hostess/bartender. She took our drink orders and gave us menus. The server came out and brought bread then took our orders. I had the French onion soup, a 20 oz new York strip with asparagus. Hubby hadthe prime rib ragu and asparagus. A lot of food. My steak was cooked perfectly. And everything tasted great. Our server, Garrettwas really great, checking on us frequently. Will definitely be back."

"Great Experience at Jim's. This is my first time in Peoria, so I can’t compare the current establishment to Jim’s of days gone by, but I can say my buddy and I had a great experience. <br/ <br/ Good: <br/ The food was fantastic. I ordered the filet and scallop and was very pleased. The steak was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The scallops were accompanied by a sweet spicy chili sauce that was quite nice. <br/ Service was great. Linda was a delight and took very good care of us.<br/ Atmosphere. You get the feeling they’ve done things a certain way for a long time. Sure it’s a little stodgy and in a basement, but that’s part of the charm. It truly is a case of if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.<br/ <br/ Not So Good: <br/ When we walked in there was no one to greet us, but a server quickly spotted us wandering around the lobby and herded us to a table.<br/ “Jim’s” special dressing and the salad were not spectacular<br/ They were booked for a special event the following night so we couldn’t go back.<br/ <br/ Conclusions: I will be back next time I come to town."

"Jonas Seafood never disappoints. It's hard to hit a mid-western sunset overlooking the Illinois River and the skyline of the town of Peoria. I come here regularly in the last few decades for lunch or dinner, and the quality of the food, paired with an attentive staff, was always consistently brilliant. The atmosphere was always pleasant and the employees do what they can to meet your needs. For lunch today, a colleague of mine and I enjoyed her Louisiana Jambalaya and her deep fried Wild Caught Gulf Shrimp. Remember that Jonas Seafood is freshly flown daily and made to order! The Jambalaya is one of my favorite dishes and the cook always makes it with the right amount of spicy. The shrimp was on the larger side and the dough was well seasoned and thin! I have one side of Au Gratin potatoes along with my Jambalaya these are sweet and cooked to PERFECTION. Never too soft and they finish cooking right at the table served hot. The fried Calamari appetizer we have was not shown. Unfortunately we swore it before I could get a good picture of it! Cudes to the owners, the chefs and the staff for creating and maintaining a relaxing atmosphere with immense food. For anyone who's never been, you're missing. I always see you next time Jonas!"

"Meghan was server on a busy, all- u-can-eat-fish-fry, Friday. It was not harassed by our questions for the first time customers. Our order was quick. We ordered a variety of dishes, buffalo burgers, from Buffalo meat, cheese burgers, ham and cheese panini, Philly cheese steak sandwich. Although I felt that the portions were on the small side, everything tasted pretty good. I think the Steak sandwich could have been better done with a nicer bungalow. He looked like an ordinary hot dog neck. The prices were a bit high for what you get. Fortunately, I had a purchase got a free voucher. We didn't have the fish, but it was a big seller at night! I think every day has another special. Apparently Friday was the Fish Fry."
