"Have been there several times now. The food quality and service seem to get worse every time we returned. Ordered chilli calamari, chicken vermicelli, pork belly salad, prawn rice crepe, grilled Salmon rice and sago pudding desert during the last visit. The vermicelli was icy...cold, the calamari batter was hard that was different from the last time which was more delicate. The rice crepe did not taste good at all. The belly pork was mostly fatty chunks. Waited quite quite a while for the desert and had to go to remind the waiter after realising it might not show up otherwise. Don't think we will be back there."

"Staff were excellent and environment is nice.When in Melbourne we normally enjoy some fresh Japanese atPurple Peanuts in the CBD but went to salon de sushi based on the reviews.While the meat curry was good, and the seared scallop nagiri was very tasty, we felt the seared salmon belly and beef nagiri wasnt up to par and the other dishes including miso soup and poke chirasi bowl were good but not excellent. We probably wont be back as we like Purple Peanuts better and it didnt wow us based on our comparision of taste."

"Highly recommend this place! Situated right next door to the famous dim sims @ South Melbourne market. We tried a range of dim sum (BBQ pork buns, prawn & chive dumplings, scallop dumplings), plate of noodles & beef stir fry: delicious & reasonably priced! You can also take their dim sum home : just choose from their frozen selection from freezer. Nice seating inside to eat or outside tables to people watch. Friendly & fast service."
