"Hey Nonny is such a great venue. I've come here many times but most recently came for their jazz night. The jazz band was phenomenal and such a wonderful time! They have a new Chef, Chef Noe who came around personally to every table to check how our meals were. We ordered the short rib which was incredible, the Brussel sprout bruschetta, the French onion soup, and the beignets. The bruschetta bread was a little soggy and the soup could have used some salt but both were delicious regardless. Cant wait for al fresco dining to return in summer!"

"We had a very strange experience this evening. Reservations were made well in advance for 4 at 5pm. Restaurant is small indoors but also offers outdoor seating. I was seated indoors for 5 minutes before the rest of our group arrived. Throughout our meal, most of the tables were empty until 7-7:30. Even then, approximately 3-4 tables remained empty. From the time that our party arrived, our server was at our table literally every 5 minutes although I stated that we hadn't looked at the menus and weren't ready to order. (We were all well aware that the restaurant closed at 9. After being hounded multiple times, we placed our orders. The food arrived very timely and was very good! However, the server continued to rush us through our meal asking if we were ready for coffee before even finishing our meals. After finishing our meals, our server came to our table at least 4 times asking if we're ready for coffee and/or dessert. As stated the food was delicious but the service/treatment was uncalled for. "Just outstanding. I didn't realize that almost every restaurant closes their kitchen at 8pm in downtown Arlington Heights. Carlos Carlos did not, and I decided to sit at the bar. I was dining solo, which I do often, and I am a proud resident of Arlington Heights. Yet somehow I had never brought myself to Carlos Carlos. I ordered a grey goose martini, and it was made to perfection. I then ordered the beef carpaccio as an appetizer, and the Fettuccine and Short-ribs for entree. Both dishes were incredible, and the fresh cheese, and warm bread just made it all come together. The ambiance was a fine dining, yet comfortable space for those who are looking for a truly exceptional dining experience. I won't be frequenting anywhere else in Downtown Arlington Heights and I'm pleased to know that Carlos Carlos is a restaurant establishment in the town that I live. 5 stars across the board."

"I recently dined with friends at a local favorite, Japanese Steak House/Habachi style restaurant that has been in business since 1989. The place is Rokbonki Japanese Steakhouse in Arlington Heights. I highly recommend you make reservations if you decide to dine here. The day that we went it was extremely busy and luckily we did have reservations. The restaurant looks somewhat dated on one side; there are hibachi grills on the other side and there are regular tables. We were sat within minutes of us arriving. We decided upon doing the hibachi style dinner. The dinner was like every other hibachi style restaurant. You pick your protein and then there's also add ons. I will say to definitely go with their garlic, shrimp add-on. It is absolutely delicious. Our chef, who was doing our hibachi, did not do a lot of showmanship, but our food was piled high. The teriyaki chicken was delicious and perfectly cooked. My friends ordered the fillet and said that it was delicious. I could tell everything here was extremely fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. From what I hear from other patrons that come here often, and tell me that the food here is always consistent. I would say if you enjoy hibachi style food to definitely check this place out. The ambience is old-school Asian restaurant. Expect to spend around $50 a person."
