"Theatre plans after dinner a block away, so this downtown location is ideal. Dining ambiance is old school with the dimly lit, picture lined narrow room, stamped tin ceilings and the feel of a different era, a time when the building was young. My Manhattan and her Margarita were prepared perfect, you might even say over the top. I enjoyed the generous portion of blackened salmon that was well seasoned without being overwhelming. My wife's halibut fish chips were perfect and the serving adequate when paired with the clam chowder. Friendly attentive service, delicious food and reasonable pricing makes Silver Salmon a new option when we are out on the town."

"Must go spot! Had a birthday dinner here for a friend, made a reservation beforehand and they really treated us amazingly! The food was delicious, they were super attentive, and sang my friend happy birthday. Highly recommend the shrimp cemita and the tres leches so so so good!"

"Great for brunch! I've been here for 5 years. they have a great brunch menu and it is a great worth. huge portion and it comes with an alcoholic drink. upgrade to a boozy brunch for a fee for a two-hour limit. they are very attentive so that their glass will not be empty when they do upgrade. it has a pub meets hipster feeling. this is a dose in astoria not miss!"

"Fresh well prepared seafood. Grilled calamari, broiled seafood combo and lamb burger all top notch. Grilled octopus however was a disappointment tentacles were cut into bite size pieces overcooked too. For one of the most expensive entrees on the menu, should have been better. Small restaurant but overall good for a local place."

"I was craving build your own poke so badly and this was the only option in the area. Price wise they are cheap and their menu selection is decent. I love that they have bay scallops as an option. Quality wise, the worst poke I've ever had. The rice wassuper dry and wet at the same time and the noodles were overcooked to a point where I couldn't pick up more than a little 2 inchpiece without it disintegrating on my fork. The spicy tuna and salmon my boyfriend got was sooooo tasteless and was mashed toliving hell. It tasted and felt like pure fish paste that's been run through a machine. All the other additional ingredientswere low quality store bought/canned stuff which I expect at poke places but some were extra bad. The crab salad was justshredded fake crab without mayo. The corn tasted fresh out the can and the edamame was mush too. The seaweed salad was fine andthe avocado was absolutely perfect and beautiful but of course you pay an extra $1 for it. All the fish had that slight slimeyfishy smell tho not enough to make you sick at least. Then again I can't say I ate enough of it to know. We looked for littleedible corners of this bowl and found almost none. After an hour of picking at it cause I hate wasting food we ended up havingto trash both bowls barely eaten cause neither of us could stomach it. Also we we told the employees we were eating at the parkand asked for forks and napkins. We got forks and no napkins Never touching this place again."
