"Odd little place. An older lady (owner?? when arriving stated that they were no longer serving lunch at 1.50pm? Although we didn't want lunch, im not sure why they would not just keep serving sandwiches until their 3pm closing time. Surprisingly a customer was ordering lunch after she told us this. The food was of average quality, the scone was decent, the coffee walnut cake was below average, the milkshake was warm, the COFFEE was the most disgusting coffee I have ever had the displeasure of tasting, a cappuccino from a packet which I left. I did think about complaining but the service so far made me think that they would take this personally, so for the sake of a coffee I didn't. Funny thing is the older lady walked past us and asked the couple next to us if they enjoyed the cream teas, shame we didn't get the same service. Saving grace of the whole experience was meeting the owners dog who could probably make a better coffee. 2 stars instead of 1, purely because the dog was lovely."

"Quite a nice Chinese, but a bit hit miss. Duck was nice, so was a few of the other bits. But prawn balls a few other bits were lacking in taste. I have given the place a generous 4 star only cos couldn't give a 3.5."

"We love this Inn and the food and we and our friends travelled a considerable distance for the meal.The meal was ok.We were in the restaurant and the door to the outside area was open. Another customers dog outside barked on and off and sometimes continuously during our meal which completely ruined the experience.I complained to a staff member who did nothing and neither did the owner.We won’t ever return to this inn who has already missed out on hundreds of pounds of custom from us."

"This is the first time we have been to Raffertys , but will certainly return. The service was efficient , friendly and helpful. They made us extremely welcome with our small dog. The food was absolutely excellent, especially the fillet steak, which was perfect. The whole vibe is relaxed and cheerful but also efficient and professional. We will be back next time we are in Cornwall ."

"Been here a few times for food whilst staying at the hotel. First time a few years ago was fantastic, amazing food, lovely complementary bits and pieces that came with starters and desserts. The most recent time however we were in a different part of the restaurant with a set menu, no show of the price anywhere, not much choice at all, too many different staff coming up to your table, it was a strange quiet atmosphere and a bit awkward, my steak was lovely and tender but nothing special about any of it. Breakfast in the morning was good, some of the items were empty which was a shame but apart from that it was okay!"

"You need to book in advance to get a table. Unfortunately, we were not able to book in advance. However, we were accommodated by their staff, and they asked us if it was okay that the table didn’t have a sea view. We immediately said no problem, since we went there for the food. We were very pleased since me and my friends are really hungry We ordered their scallops, crispy sesame chicken, chowder, King prawn and catch of the day. They were all exquisite!! we were happy with the chowder! I was just surprised with the serving of the scallops but overall, it was tasty! The staff were excellent, the location wise- accessible, the food was delicious, serving time was alright"
