"First class service, we were on the British Pullman and a visit to chatsworth house. We arrived on a wet and windy day, the house was ok but I was cold. Came into the restaurant and asked if I could simply have a bottle of wine. Kath was so amazing. So helpful and friendly. Even arranged for a birthday platter for the hubby! Thank you x x"

"Went for lunch today, and the fact that the place didn't have an empty table after we arrived, said a lot. The food was excellent, as was the service. Decent sized portions as well, no space for dessert. We will be back again."

"Fantastic meal (again). Thanks to Alan. Shared Chateaubriand for two. Scallops starter. Beef cooked perfect, great quality meat. Amazing truffle mash and horseradish coleslaw. And perfect chips. Great selection of wines too. Craig’s first night behind the bar charming host."

"Visited in October 2021 and gave him 5*. after the latest visit. see update now a 3*. utterly fabulous fish chip shop. we were in bradwell village, derbyshire for a week and after the first visit in the chip shop we could not resist getting back at any opportunity. during the second week of our holiday, in another opposite. we returned to the village and of course, the chip shop. we missed it. each time the chips were; fluffy, crispy and super delicious. So for a second. the staff was friendly, eating was always amazing and the price was also very good. they also decorated for halloween. we recommend fishcakes, scallop, sausage in batter, curry sauce and gravy. do not forget the chips. @starnoldtravels"

"We were so looking forward to eating here. Firstly I would like to say the staff were excellent, very friendly, and responded to every request we made. The pub area is lovely; just what a country pub should be. But the restaurant where we were...seated had zero ambience, it was totally modern and brightly lit, the neon pink lighting was particularly gaudy! The evening menu was very disappointing, the of us all struggled to find anything we fancied. The veggie menu was actually hilarious, mains consisted of different versions of risotto. The food when it came was not especially tasty apart from the fish of the day. Otherwise it was quite uninspiring. Considering it came to per head with wine I would expect more. So all in all we wont be returning, which is a shame because its in a perfect location and the staff were great."
