"The sign says Sake House. This restaurant is by far the best food I visited in North County. It is located on the PCH between Leucadia and Encinitas. You need to make reservations by week and wait for a table when on Friday or Saturday night. They're only open at night. They have a capacity of about 25 people and this is a family business. Parents cook and daughters wait tables. The food is authentic Japanese food where everything they serve is imported from Japan. They have the largest Sake collection in all San Diego and many of their foods are tapas. My favorite dishes are the scallops and mushrooms, the tuna Albacore with Avacado in the miraculous skin and the BBQ beef salad, although I do not eat beef. The dressing is fantastic with a lot of garlic flavor on fresh green. Your spouse or date can always eat beef when you are a vegetarian. The price would be about $20 a person without alcohol. If you go, make sure to make a reservation. Enjoy!"

"I need to disclose that I have only been to this restaurant for happy hour, so this should be considered a review of just the happy hour experience. Happy hour is 5PM-6:30PM Sunday thru Thursday, and the deals are good. Tomiko is up on a hill giving a view of the distant ocean. The staff can be hit or miss. Sometimes the service is good other times it’s poor. Overall, this is a good place to go with a few friends. I am willing to drive from Del Mar to go here every now and then. An idea of the happy hour menu: $2 draft pints Not just fizzy yellow such as Bud Light. This includes good beer such as Stone, Guinness, Kirin, and more. $3 large hot sakes 50% selected rolls. While I don’t have the list of the rolls, I do remember some of them to give an idea of what you are looking at. The normal cheap spicy rolls (tuna, scallops, etc) are included, caterpillar roll, California roll, and some funky house rolls (Baja and Las Vegas)."

"Pricy but very high quality foods and friendly service. Inside of the place was little bit too warm. We loved those oysters and musseles. You may ask them to serve butter spaghetti from kids menu and add soup from mussell, and it will taste very good. Tap water was not my style so I recommend you to order sparkling or something. Ribeye is big so 2 can share 1 order with other seafood dishes. And many of menus include franch fries and 1 has a lot of them so ask them before order. While we were enjoying our diner, many of other ppl were full families with children. The place was very family friendly so you can bring your kids with confident. I probably visit this place again when I go to the area."
