"Food is absolutely delicious. We had the prawn ceviche to start and it was so fresh and tasty. Scallops for main and it was my favourite dish on holidays and favourite scallop dish so tender and tasty. My partner had the fish of the day and it was delicious. We shared the traditional pudding fair dessert and it was 10/10. Haven’t had something like that before. The whole dining experience was amazing food, service, wine, everything was perfect"

"This place is clearly overrated, they have a syndrome of gods . The food is pretty good but the service is terrible. The menu is only in Catalan, so even when you use google translator, not everything is clear. The staff is rude and doesn 't help you commenting your choices in unpolite and dismissing way. I have not seen such an arrogance for ages. A restaurant on certain level should not allow this. I recommend self-reflection to owners. It was our worst experience (the only one) of our entire week-long stay in Catalonia. I do not recommend Arros i Peix in Girona."

"What an excellent seafood restaurant. The host took us to the seafood ‘market’ a selection of incredible looking seafood. He took us through the process of ordering. And with no pressure at all, helped us order our starters (baby squid, tellines and scallops) and our main (squid for me, Catalan style paella for her). Each dish we could schooler the style of cooking (garlic and olive oil all the way). The food was spectacular. As was the very well priced cava. It wasn’t cheap. But it wasn’t expensive! And we were shown the price before we sat down. Again no pressure on ordering. Quite the opposite. The host made sure we were happy. Excellent experience. Very relaxed. Would go again in a heart beat."

"From the outside you would notice only the many beer drinkers, waiters in fancy Hawaï shirts, we sat there may because the bar across was full, and that was a good surprise! we had casserole of artichoke and ham and squids (excellent crispy mix of flavours) , pork sirloin with grilled vegetables (never had such tender pork meat), and baby scallops from farm, simply prepared in their shell and emphasising their pure and fine taste. Best ingredients, simple but competent preparation to highlight the quality of the food and its natural taste."

"Cosy restaurant set by Riu Ter river, we were welcomed by owner Clara. We had lunch here as the restaurant was closed for a week from tonight. The meal started with gazpacho with wasabi ice cream, pate and grilled prawns with lettuce. Seconds was grilled scallops with chopped bacon. For mains, we were served the old cow steak, duck marinated with teriyaki, dried rice with monkfish clams, sweet rice with octopus and prawns, capellini with foie gras and truffle, cod with brie and almond cream. The service was exceptional, and each dish was well presented. Worthy of a visit when you travel to Girona"
