"The Marigold has been one of our favourite restaurants. The food was always magnificent as was the service. However this has clearly all changed. What a horrible experience. Yesterday 23rd May 2021 we decided to have Yum Cha at the Marigold. Big mistake. After queueing for almost an hour we finally got a table to only be completely and utterly ignored. No one was interested in serving us as all the waitstaff was fawning over one table and not interested in anyone else. When I tried to get attention from the waitstaff they simply refused to call management and continued to ignore us. Furthermore the few items of food we managed to secure was rancid. Granted we should have looked at the latest reviews and saved ourselves from this horrible experience. We will NEVER be going back there and I strongly recommend others to give this place a very wide berth."

"Located in Sussex Centre food court. You would definitely come here for the food and not the service. Reminds of a certain episode of Seinfeld! If you asked the wrong question or didn't know what to order or asked for a variation you would get a frown and possibly not get your food at all! Luckily for me I knew this coming in so knew what I wanted. There are lots of choices of food.<br>

I ordered the Shredded Duck Mushroom With Vermicelli Noodle. It was a good sized serving of noodles and sauce with a few mushrooms and some sliced duck. <br>

There are other choices you can go for but just expect the grumpy man and you will be okay."

"Tonight I dined alone as I have business in Sydney for 2 weeks. After 30 years of supporting this establishment I had the worst service history of all time. 10 minutes for a menu to arrive. Peking Duck plonked on my table and 5 minutes...(then cold) for anyone to bother to come and serve it ; obsolete as I did it myself ; same for the dang choi bow 2nd course. Incompetent staff who seem directionless. Will be a long, long time before I think about a further visit ; better venues to go to . Smarten up Golden Century, no accolades since 2017 and not a surprise !"

"We had the lunch sushi buffet, $54 per person on promotion if you pay in cash. I found it pretty good value; we ordered quite a lot of sashimi and sushi and were pretty full at the end, even though the session was restricted to one hour. The quality of the sashimi/ sushi was okay. The service was okay. I think it’s worth trying it on promotion, but not worth it when it’s not. Service: Dine in"
