"We had eaten at Le Beaulieu on a number of occasions in both of its former locations and found the food excellent. However, we shall not be going again because of the appalling behaviour over our recent booking. The restaurant is one of the few...to open on a Monday, so we booked on the telephone for Easter Monday, 28 March 2016. Our reservation was accepted, so we then booked an hotel in central Le Mans, to break our return journey from the Loire to London. On turning up at the agreed time and on the reserved date, we found the restaurant completely closed. I left a message on their answering machine to request an explanation but have still had no apology. Such behaviour must damage a good restaurant’s reputation."
