"Unfortunately I feel like the food is going down the tubes... my salad was not good (the duck that came on it was amazing though) and my husband's filet was just ok and the veggies that came with it were very under seasoned. "We've been coming here for years and this visit did not disappoint, as usual. We always start with a cocktail at the bar. I had the Cabin in the Woods and my wife had an espresso martini. Both were excellent. The bar tenders are super friendly and the drinks are imaginative. After cocktails, we moved into the main dining room by the fire place. I was happy to see the Christmas decorations were still up. I had the chicken for the first time, and my wife had the filet mignon. I asked the waiter what part of the chick was in this entree. I was happy to hear when he told me it was a leg and thigh because I prefer the moistness of dark meat. I was a little nervous when dinner arrived, it was a breast with wing attached as chicken breast is so often dry. This entree was not. It was the juiciest, moistest chicken breast I've ever had. I don't usually order chicken but I will again for sure at the Log Cabin. My wife loved her filet and took half of it home with her. We passed on dessert. After dinner, what has been our favorite part of visiting the Log Cabin in recent years, is retiring to the parlor for a nightcap and to enjoy the live music. This time it was the Tuck Ryan band and they were outstanding. A great mix of music including some great 70s pop which, at 55 years of age, I remember well. All in all it was another perfect experience at the Log Cabin. They continue to get busier and busier and reservations are required further in advance every time, but it is so worth it. We'll no doubt be back time and time again."
