"We had the perfect Sunday afternoon at the Balmer lawn hotel. On a lovely sunny afternoon we enjoyed pre lunch drinks on the terrace, listening to live music in the Lodge outside restaurant. Very chilled atmosphere and an amazing female vocalist put us in a great frame of mind for our fabulous Sunday lunch in Beresfords restaurant, which didn't disappoint. If you like good size portions of well cooked and presented food, delivered with humour and professionalism then you will love this restaurant. Post dinner cocktails on the terrace rounded off the perfect day."

"Staying locally at Holmsley Campsite and decided to try The Three Tuns for Sunday Lunch. Booked online which was easy and guaranteed us a table. Lovely quaint thatched cottage/pub. Nice decor, very clean, with lovely atmosphere! Staff, excellent, happy, attentive! Sunday lunch we both opted for roast pork, comes with an apple/mustard gravy, pork stuffing, cracking, roast and mashed potatoes. Roasts were a little hard around the edges (maybe kept warm too long post cooking). Was disappointed when a very small dish of accompanying veg arrived I asked is this for one? Was told no it’s for two! Cauli cheese, braised red cabbage, carrots and mange tout. Lovely! Then got vegetable envy when table next to us had their veg arrive and realised we had be denied an adult portion! Did have a laugh with the lovely waitress who did apologise and offer us more veg but we had already cleared our plates! Can fully recommend both puddings we enjoyed the ice cream is BEAUTIFUL, locally produced in the New Forest! I enjoyed a lovely syrup sponge with home made custard. Was delicious! Would we return yes please!"

"Beautiful hotel in beautiful grounds. we were made to feel welcome from the moment when we arrived, all employees were extremely attentive. our room was decorated on a very high standard and the super king bed gave us a great night sleep. the Michelin star restaurant was a real joy for our taste buds. we really enjoyed the local seasonal products. we would not hesitate to recommend the Monday, a real gem in Beaulieu’s krone."

"Honestly food was amazing, can’t fault that at all! But the customer service was appalling, we turned up to an empty restaurant at 5pm asking for a table for 2, and was initially told there were no tables. After saying we wanted to eat right away, we got a table and sat down. Starters were lovely, mains came and I ordered a burger with chips, and it felt like I was asking for the world when I requested some Mayo. They didn’t check whether the food was okay half way through, when we asked for the bill, they came over to collect the mains and didn’t ask whether we enjoyed the food. Service charge added straight away, so we removed as I didn’t feel it was deserved. Weird atmosphere, but couldn’t fault the food!"

"Great place. it really enjoyed our lunchtime. super friendly service. the chicken burgers and sweet kartoffel fries were so beautiful. dog-friendly, even has a dog menu. covid conscious and included private ess huts outside. great place definitiw recommend to switch on for a light bite or main meal."
