"After 4 weeks in advance booking for 7 people I was satisfied with booking process and email confirmation. on the day before our reservation I had a follow-up email to confirm our table and requesting that the restaurant of changes know. our party of 7 came around 19 o'clock to enjoy our meal, just to be informed that the restaurant had stopped to serve 4 o'clock. the manager were very deceitful that we will come back the next day, I don't think."

"The food was “disappointing”, if there had been one issue I would not leave the review but … waited 35 minutes for Sunday roast to arrive. Warm but not hot. The pork belly skin was “chewy” definitely not crackling. The roast beef was full of sinew, low quality cut that really should have been cooked in a slow cooker. The cauliflower cheese was 75% stalk and really I should have sent it back. See my photos, judge for yourself."

"Fabulous lunch in the garden with friends. 3 x fish and chips and asparagus and poached egg starter. All well presented and tasted great. Always a great welcome. Sadly the pub and restaurant are both pretty quiet considering it is a Bank Holiday weekend. Could I suggest a review of your pricing which probably excludes many from coming."

"A good combination of a pub and restaurant. Good for friends and family not sure if it would be good for couples wanting a cosy atmosphere. It has a decent varied menu at reasonable prices. We had excellent fish pies, very tasty! The veg left a little to be desired, a bit undercooked mange tout and green beans that were passed there sell by date, peas and carrots ok. Service was good, cheerful and friendly. Would go there again."
