"Lovely bar/ restaurant with pleasant and helpful staff. Really good food and well priced. Had ordered the sirloin steak which came with chips, vegetables, tomatoes and mushrooms and struggled to finish the plate. The staff were attentive without fussing over the top of you. It was clean and well maintained, with amazing views from where we were sitting. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"The names Barman, Ben the Barman. What a night! It’s a great atmosphere and a young lad on the bar named Ben absolutely made it. Service was great and he even found time for a dance off with my mate Ste (which he won hands down). Will be back again.."

"Don’t eat here if you need gluten free. Our party of 9 had lunch last Sunday, had to pre order before arrival due to our large party. They were advised we had an 1 adult and 1 child gluten free. They couldn’t advise what could be offered gluten free other than chicken Caesar salad. They advised for the child that it lmight be better to bring our own!! On arrival they brought us the menus, seemingly unaware that we had pre ordered. We were told the fish pie, ordered by the gf adult couldn’t be gluten free, he was offered a burger on a gf bun only to be told 2 mins later there were no buns only bread. In the end he had a fillet steak. The child had a chicken dinner. We did ask if the children’s meals could be brought straight away but in the event they only arrived after our starters at 12.50 which was 50 mins after our 12 noon arrival. The food we had was very nice but the overall organisation and provision of gluten free options- despite having forward notice of this- was very poor. If you don’t want to cater for this dietary need that’s fine but you should make that clear when a booking is taken, particularly when you are asking people to pre order. I did contact the Old Bell directly via their website to make them aware of the above points but to date have had no reply."

"I telephoned this morning politely just to tell the manager that a product he sold me on the 21st of December may have been responsible for causing me to have diagnosed food poisoning. The young lady was non caring , just stating not possible not here , she was rude and non caring"

"Great food! Lovely attentive staff, especially the restaurant staff. Always checking we had enough drinks we were enjoying the food. The menu was small but lovely selection. The wine was also lovely! Highly recommended!"
