"Miso soop was good, came in a bowl larger than you would expect. Shanghai noodles were good however the noodles were smaller than the customary udon noodle size. The shrimp, squid and scallops in the salt and pepper seafood were cooked really well. The batter was thicker than what you typically get when ordering salt and pepper shrimp with the heads and tails on. Good variety of sushi, limited and pricy selection of sashimi. Overall, a pleasant experience."

"Exquisite service, great food and wines. Consistently has the best service in the city. Knowledgable, friendly, and very polished.<br/>Fine menu which changes frequently. Can make a very good meal from soup (always superb) and an appetizer or two. Lots of local ingredients. Very good wine list with an emphasis on Canadian wines. Remarkable lunch buffet. It's a treat to dine in this exquisite heritage building. The vista from Wilfrid's windows the East Block, the Peace Tower, Confederation Square and the Langevin Block is great. The view from the summer terrace is one of the best kept secrets in Ottawa wow!<br/>Why more Ottawa natives don't patronize Wilfrid's is a mystery to me. Yes, the prices are in the range, but in comparison to restaurants in the same price range, you'll rarely have such a fine experience as you will at Wilfrid's."

"1 ELGIN is a hidden gem of fine dining! Great location with a view of the canal, 1 ELGIN has a beautiful interior space and the promise of a fantastic waterfront patio in warmer weather. Tonight we enjoyed their roasted beetroot salad, warm lentil, mushroom tofu bowl, and shared their cranberry apple bread pudding with maple ice cream for dessert. Beautifully presented, absolutely delicious, from start to finish."

"Event staff was the nicest and fast service ever. I didn't make there job easy and the staff did amazing. Went for a wedding. Beautiful space. Very clean. Lots of room. Chairs hurt after a while. But that's not too bad. Music was great. Waterfront veiw was amazing. Food was good. I'm sure if they weren't cooking for so many. It would have been perfect. Salads were huge leafs not chopped and way to much ceasar dressing. The steak tasted like it was steam cooked. The meat was just extremely tender. Not how I'm used to eating steak. Maybe the cut of meat. Over Beautiful location. And staff killed it. Bartender was amazing."
