"They had just introduced their Christmas buffet. The food was superb. Freshly made soup, salads and smoked salmon. Excellent choice of mains: roast turkey, lion of pork with crackling to die for and beef wellington that melted in the mouth. Excellent choice of fresh vegetables. The deserts selection and ice cream bar carried on the theme of very good quality. An excellent meal and good service. However, there is a very high price to pay. There were two of us and we each had the buffet and a large beer. I he total cost was £180.00! The restaurant is part of the Fosshotel Reykjavik."

The owner is extremely out-going you can tell that he cares about all his customers. You get free waffles, candy whatever treats they made that day. The menu is very simple, not many to choose from, but real Icelandic soup. You can choose to have them in a bread bowl, which is huge the best part...free re-fills! They suggest you start with the seafood first as that does not have free re-fills, then there is the meat soup the vegan soup. All three are delicious you can not beat the prices. When you are done eating here you can head two doors down to the owner's pub where he will also give you a free beer. There are several Icelandic Street Foods, make sure you go to this one that is sort of off the beaten path, not in the general vicinity of all the typical tourism streets. I would definitely take the time to go here when in Reykjavik."

"The restaurant itself is in an old multi-story house, so immediately it feels very comfortable and more memorable than most restaurants. Our service was quick and friendly. The food itself was just ok. There was nothing wrong with it, but the pasta was about what I expect from a restaurant that doesn't claim to be Italian. Maybe my expectations were a little too high."
