"Our visit many years ago to Tom Keller's French Laundry came to mind as we enjoyed the 9-course tasting menu at this out of the way lovely, small restaurant off the main square. Recommended by a local, we arrived expecting to participate in Casiano's one menu fits all experience. Starting with a small, delicate gazpacho soup (and with the staff's high interest in any food allergies - important since my wife is gluten-intolerant) we were served a small mound of delicious scallops. Then came a single, large shrimp in a delightful combination of ingredients, followed by a crisp serving of fish, etc. One of the final treats was a perfectly seared filet. Although the basic meal was about $160 for two, plus wine, tax and tip, the experience was lovely and well worth the price. It was also quite filling by the time the desserts arrived."

"This enchanted place seems to be a secret of the area. It is one of those non pretentious places where food, drinks and service are superb. Although no famous chef is involved in this project, you'll get the feeling that there is one behind the scene.... technique, and creativity merge to create traditional Mexican food with friendly sophistication. The ambiance is elegant but relaxed, not noisy and seems like a lot of residents are friends of the place. I had the best tortilla soup I ever had, while my vegetarian dad had a fantastic chile en nogada ... Only few times I've seen his plate empty. My mom, a lobster lover, had a lobster cake that we both felt in love with. I was also surprised with a long and a special wine list that includes considerable gems for wine connoisseurs. I missed the fried oysters that I heard are a must... I will return for those."

"Amazing burger is all I can say. Teo's Surf & Turf with blue cheese burger. I did trade the fries in for the onion rings :-) I thought my favourite burger there was the Bacon avocado until I tried Teo's. Staff was great & the beer was extra cold. They do serve all kinds of Mexican food, but this is my burger joint :-)"

"Really extraordinary experience! Do not be fooled by the fact that this beautiful, picturesque, hidden gem of a restaurant is located in a residential area. This simply adds to the perfect atmosphere of the farm where you will be dining room. A family business without a question, but the food. Oh, but the food! My wife and I shared almost everything we ordered from apps for dinner. although I cooked a bit stingy with my file not mignon entree' to perfection! But let's not forget that the beginnings of scalops in garlic oil served in single mini cups and avocado gazpachio. Then, an excellent Caesar salad prepared table page from our beautiful server Sandra. An excellent bottle of Malbec that complicated both my briefcase and the lamb of my wife. Finally, a café americano and a common dessert of Flan. Even though we are not well known with SJ del Cabo gastronomy, we are food, and we believe that we had only one of our most unforgettable culinary experiences in years. Try El Matador's staff!"
